Lesbian Britney - Top Story of 07

The new photos in The Sun and OK! Magazine show Britney and her former assistant in what the Sun describes in a "red hot girl on girl session". The assisant, Shannon Funk, reported got friendly with Spears in a L.A. hotel pool and the action was captured by photographers.

The new pictures surface as Federline has initiated new court proceedings against Spears in hopes of gaining princible custody of their two children. Federline's legal team served Funk with a subpoena at Long Beach airport on Tuesday night according to TMZ. 

She's been caught before? Apparently Britney was seen having some lesbian fun a few weeks ago as well. - more on this story

Beyonce Nude Mishap - Top Story of 07

It's being billed as an accident, (or is it a wardrobe malfunction?) but it could also be called an ironic way to promote a clothing line by accidentally removing said clothing. It all happened last week when Beyonce took to the stage at a launch party for her clothing line at the Dereon in Toronto, Canada, according to Contact Music. 

Hundreds of fans were on hand to witness Beyonce perform and during an a dance routine her blouse reportedly lifted up and exposed her bare breasts to the audience. Video of the mishaps is now making the rounds on the web.- 

Van Halen Angers Fans With Anthony Snubs - Top Story of 07

A fan wrote us on Saturday with the following: On every single Van Halen song (with exception to the three new songs on the Best of Both Worlds compilation, ) credits have always gone to Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Michael Anthony, and the lead singer who is featured on the song (Roth/Hagar/Cherone). However, during the credits of the film "Superbad", which features the song "Panama", the song is only credited to the two Van Halens and Roth! Anthony continues to get snubbed by his former band as they attempt to erase him from the history of the band. 

We looked a little further into this and discovered that Anthony has been removed from the credits for all of the songs from the band's Diamond Award winning album 1984 in the ASCAP database.- more on this story

Muslims Hate Stefani Too - Top Story of 07

"This guy, out of nowhere, just walked up and said, 'Give me the camera,' " Volpe told Chicago Daily Southtown. Volpe told the man that he would give him the tape but not his $600 camera and the man responded, "It's too late for that now" and put Volpe in a headlock while Volpe's girlfriend grabbed the camcorder. She ran away when the man dropped Volpe and looked at her. 

Volpe spent five hours in the emergency room of Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment of neck and back injuries.- more on this story

Singer Witnesses Murder - Top Story of 07

David Mahler, 43, is accused of murdering Kirstin "Chrissie" Franya Baldwin, 38, and dumping her body in a ditch near Barstow where it was found 20 days later. He is also charged with assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly threatening Vie, real name Donald Van Develde. 

Vie testified that he was at his landlords apartment before the murder when an angry Mahler pulled out a gun. "He was pointing it around, clicking it everywhere," Vie said. "He clicked it at me, he clicked it at her." Los Angeles NBC station reports that " As he was leaving, [Vie] shut the bedroom door and heard what he thought was the sound of a gun shot."- more on this story

When a ballsy female concertgoer reached out and grabbed Tim McGraw's nether regions Saturday at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana, his missus [Faith Hill] told the errant fan in no uncertain terms that that sort of behavior is frowned upon in them there parts…

The band made the announcement via their official site last week. Here is what they had to say: We are sorry to say that Mark has had to temporarily leave the Projekt Revolution tour. He threw his back out in Phoenix and went for an MRI. The doctor informed him that he has a herniated disc.

The smackdown occurred at the Changes Karaoke bar in Seattle last Thursday night when a man took the stage and started to sing Coldplay's hit song "Yellow" angering a woman in the audience who shouted "Oh no, not that song. I can't stand that song!" 

She then jumped up on stage and punched the man in the face in an attempt to stop him from singing the song, said the police report according to Gigwise. The 21-year-old woman was then dragged outside and went crazy punching a bar employee in the face twice.- more on this story

Tom Gabel had just ordered his tea and walked into the rest room when all hell broke loose according to tallahassee.com. Seems Gabel found an article about his band pinned to the wall. Instead of saying for a good time call, someone had defaced the article with obscenities, which angered him greatly. So he tore down the article and tossed it into the emo basket (trashcan). Another patron asked Gabel why he had torn down the fine altered article and according to the victim's friend a shouting match ensued between the singer and the victim before escalating into violence. 

Gabel reportedly then knocked the cup out of the hand of his questioner, Jared Smith. Smith told the police that Gabel proceeded to grab him by the neck and forced his head into the wooden counter before a man entered the cafe, headbutted Gabel and put him into a headlock. The mysterious crime fighter exited before the police showed up.- - more on this story

Uncle Kracker Sex Crime - Top Story of 07

The alleged victim, a 26-year-old woman approached an off-duty police officer at the Ess Lounge nightclub (where Kracker had performed Thursday night), and told the officer that Kracker, real name Matthew Shafer, had forced himself on her sexually. 

Police found Kracker at a nearby Embassy Suites Hotel and arrested him at around 4:45 a.m. Friday. He was booked on a charge of second-degree forcible sexual offense at the Wake County Jail.- more on this story

Michael Anthony Responds To Van Halen Reunion, Defends Wolfgang - Top Story of 07

While Dave, Alex, Eddie and Wolfgang hit the road this fall, Anthony will be joining former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar for a tour with their band aptly titled "The Other Half". But with news of the reunion and what some see as snubs of the former Van Halen bassist, Anthony felt it was time to speak out publicly about the reunion tour.

Foxy Brown Jailed - Top Story of 07

Judge Melissa Jackson found Brown guilty of violating the terms of her probation by leaving the New York area without court permission and failing to attend court ordered anger management classes. Brown was ordered incarcerated until her September 7 sentencing hearing where she faces up to a year in prison. 

Brown was kicked out of the anger management classes in January after she allegedly threatened a staff member and she is facing felony charges for assaulting her neighbor with a BlackBerry phone last month.

Doherty Drugs Pet with Cocaine - Top Story of 07

The feline became ill (wonder why?) and was reportedly examined by a RSPCA (Royal Society for the Protection of Animals) veterinarian. When they ran a blood test to diagnose the problem, they discovered cocaine in the pet's bloodstream and alerted police, according to the Mirror. 

A RSPCA spokesperson would not confirm that Doherty was the pet owner telling The Star simply, "It is a police matter, so we cannot deny or confirm the identity of the man who had the kitten removed. But it is very important to protect animals from substances that can do them serious harm."- more on this story

Moz Rejects Smiths Reunion - Top Story of 07

Morrissey's publicist told Billboard that Moz turned down a cool $75 million for a Smiths reunion that required guitarist Johnny Marr to take part. The offer was for a 2008 and/or 2009 tour according to the report. 

This isn't the first time that Moz has turned down millions for a reunion. The Smiths reportedly were offered a multi-million dollar deal to perform at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.- more on this story

New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has signed the Truth In Music law which outlaws bogus bands from performing in the state under the name of established artists. The hairbands traveling the country with just their original bass player need not worry, this law only outlaws performing under a band name if the group playing does not feature any original members and if they get caught it could cost them a cool $15,000. 

"Music artists work for years to build names for themselves in the entertainment industry," Spitzer said in a statement. "We should not allow others to impersonate their work and profit from that deception."- more on this story

Navarro has taken part in porn star Tera Patrick and her metalhead husband Evan Seinfeld's new porn series where they call on celebs to direct feature length porn movies. You can just bet it took a lot of arm-twisting to convince Dave to do it.

Apparently members of Dire Straits were in a store and saw a wall of televisions displaying a Motley Crue video and according to Contact Music that inspired them to pen the hit tune that made light of the empty fame in the MTV age with lines like "That aint workin / thats the way you do it / Get your money for nothin get your chicks for free". 

Of course, the video for the track became a huge hit on the music channel. Being the deep thinker that he is, Nikki Sixx is reportedly flattered by the off-hand tribute. At least the line "bangin on the bongoes like a chimpanzee" makes total sense now.- 

Kanye A Thief? - Top Story of 07

Major label newcomer Mims is up in arms with Kanye West, accusing the egomaniac rapper of stealing his hip-hop sound which is basically stealing real musician's old work, speeding it up, turning on a drum machine and talking sh*t over it. But Mims claims he stole soul samples and speeded them up long before Kanye made major cash by stealing soul samples and speeded them up and talking nonsense over them. 

Mims claims that he introduced this formula with his debut album. "I recorded my album five years ago so I did it first," the indignant rapper said- but did he steal it from Jay-Z? 

Dead Dogs, Guns and Drugs at DMX's Crib - Top Story of 07

Sheriff's deputies were investigating animal cruelty allegations when they searched DMX's Arizona residence where they discovered 200 grams of a suspected illegal narcotic, a variety of assault-style weapons and the bodies of three dogs. 

Sheriff Joe Arpaio says that the drugs are being tested and that no charges have been filed yet. He was called out to investigate allegations that DMX has not been properly feeding and watering his pet pit bulls, according to AP. DMX's attorney says that the dogs were left in the care of a caretaker. - more on this story

Nin Vs Pumpkins and Fall Out Boy - Top Story of 07

Reznor spoke with UK's answer to Rolling Stone, NME, before his band's gig and had some not so kind words for other bands he was sharing the stage with. His biggest target was Billy Corgan's latest incarnation of the Smashing Pumpkins featuring only two original members. "I was never a big Smashing Pumpkins fan back when they were the Pumpkins, not to sh*t on Billy or anything but I don't hear anything that would make me want to care. They (Def Jam) locked me into the office till 3am," she said according to Contact Music. "And Jay Z said, 'There's only two ways out. Out the door after you sign this deal. Diddley, 78, suffered a stroke in May and was undergoing a medical check up at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville this past Friday when he began feeling ill. He was taken to the emergency room where he suffered a heart attack.

CBGB Founder Hilly Kristal Dies - Top Story of 07

Kristal, 75, founded the legendary rock club CBGB and ran the club for 33 years. A singer and songwriter himself, Kristal opened the club to showcase "Country Bluegrass and Blues"; instead the club became a breeding ground for Punk 
rock. 

Among the many acts that called CBGB home were Blondie, the Talking Heads, Television, Living Color, Patti Smith and the Ramones.
