Dead Dogs, Guns and
Drugs at Rapper's Crib

(antiMusic) When police find 200 grams of
a suspected drug and dead dogs when searching an entertainer's home you
might think this is a report about Pete Doherty but it's not. We're talking
about rapper DMX who was the prime suspect as Maricopa County sheriffs
raided his home on Friday.
Sheriff's deputies were investigating animal
cruelty allegations when they searched DMX's Arizona residence where they
discovered 200 grams of a suspected illegal narcotic, a variety of assault-style
weapons and the bodies of three dogs.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says that the drugs
are being tested and that no charges have been filed yet. He was called
out to investigate allegations that DMX has not been properly feeding and
watering his pet pit bulls, according to AP. DMX's attorney says that the
dogs were left in the care of a caretaker.
Arpaio says that they are still investigating
the animal cruelty allegations and that a dozen pit bulls were seized from
the rapper's North Phoenix home. Investigators dug up the bodies of three
dogs that were buried in the rapper's yard.
According to a Contact Music report, DMX
says that he hasn't been to the property in two months and that a caretaker
was supposed to be looking after the dogs. "We had a caretaker that wasn't
taking care, that's what happened," DMX's lawyer Murray Richman says. "He
loves dogs, he loves these animals. Those dogs are practically his family."
So he leaves "family" in the care of someone
else for two months without checking on them?
