Oakhelm Set New Album Release
Portland area pagan, black metal lifers Oakhelm have confirmed plans to release the band's second full-length with Forest Moon Special Products, the same label that released 2007's praised 'Betwixt And Between.'

The next effort, dubbed 'Echtra', is confirmed as a five track album with a running time of over 35 minutes, continuing in the same vein as 'Betwixt' but more varied and concise.

As part of the Northwestern stake in Paganfest: Part II last year, and compared to anyone from Agalloch to Wolves In The Throne Room, Ulver, and Woods of Ypres, Oakhlem is proud to once again partner up with Forest Moon for 'ECHTRA', which was recorded over a period of several months in 2009 and ultimately mastered by Justin Weiss at Trackworx.

Alexisonfire Donating Proceeds To Haiti Relief
Alexisonfire will be donating all of their January online store sales proceeds to the Red Cross to support the relief efforts in Haiti.

Guitarist Wad MacNeil has written the following request to fans: In light of the recent tragedy in Haiti we have been thinking about how to help. In a disaster of this magnitude the easiest way for everyone to get involved is simply by donating money.

This will get clean water, sanitation and medical supplies, food and temporary shelter to the people who need it the most in Jacmel and Port-au-Prince. We will be donating all the proceeds from our online store for the month of January to the relief effort. So, if you've been thinking about getting a shirt recently, now is the time to do it!

Thanks Friends,
wade.

Through The Eyes Of The Dead To Debut Song This Weekend
The track, "The Manifest," from Through The Eyes Of The Dead's upcoming record, "Skepsis," (February 2, 2010 via Prosthetic Records) will make its broadcast premiere this weekend (January 22-24) on Full Metal Jackie's nationally syndicated radio show.

The self-produced "Skepsis" is the first TTEOTD release to feature new vocalist Danny Rodriguez, drummer Mike Ranne and guitarist Chris "Hank" Henckel. The album was recorded at Geller Cellar Studios in New York and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall), and features cover art by Paul Romano (Mastodon, Trivium).

Since signing with Prosthetic in 2005, TTEOTD has SoundScanned nearly 60,000 copies and toured with a who's who of heavy music, perhaps most notably as part of the now-legendary 2006 Sounds of the Underground tour that featured a stacked lineup of metal gods In Flames, Trivium, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, GWAR, The Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying and more. The band kick off a US tour with Bury Your Dead and Destrophy on February 15th.

Jordan Galland Sets Album and Film Release
Jordan Galland, a New York based musician and filmmaker, will release his sophomore album entitled Search Party via Slush Puppy Music (Dopo Yume, Domino) on April 20, 2010 to coincide with the release of his debut feature film, Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Undead. A romantic comedy starring Jake Hoffman, Devon Aoki and Ralph Macchio, Undead explores the conspiracies and legends behind "Hamlet," The Holy Grail and some seriously sexy vampires.

Search Party similarly showcases Galland's knack for mixing genres and evoking the mood of another time in his music, while his modern narrative lyrics keep the listener in the present tense. "Like if Arcade Fire, Leonard Cohen and Rufus Wainwright were to all meet up for a swanky meal in a stylish, smoky jazz club" (Jack Pudwell, Subba Cultcha).

Search Party pulls from material written through the spring and summer of 2009, building upon Galland's solo debut Airbrush and a handful of material originally co-produced with Mark Ronson for the band Domino. The languid vocals and tongue-in-cheek lyrics that were so apparent on Airbrush are still a major part of Search Party, yet Galland expands a foundation inspired by the likes of Serge Gainsbourg, David Bowie and the Talking Heads with robust African beats, mangy T-Rex-style guitar and brassy horns. - more on this story

Vampires Everywhere
Vampires Everywhere! announced today that their debut EP entitled "Lost in the Shadows" will be released on February 9, 2010. Produced by Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, The Darkest Hour, Senses Fail, The Bled) the album features front man Michael Vampire's synth-driven vocals, venomous keyboard tones, assailing guitars, and dark brooding soundscapes on five addictive tracks.

The band has quickly gained recognition in the music scene for their innovative, epic sounds which can be described as an infusion of music genres including screamo, dance, pop, and hardcore, giving life to their personal sound coined as "Vampire Rock."

Of the new EP, lead singer Michael Vampire shares "We wanted to revive a genre that has been brutally stigmatized since it's inception, and we wanted to create something that wouldn't embarrass you with your windows down. We knew before we recorded the album that we would be criticized for our ideals, however we had to follow our hearts and be true to ourselves. People ask us if we consider ourselves to be real vampires, if you have to ask we are doing our jobs."
