Search Party pulls from material written through the spring and summer of 2009, building upon Galland's solo debut Airbrush and a handful of material originally co-produced with Mark Ronson for the band Domino. The languid vocals and tongue-in-cheek lyrics that were so apparent on Airbrush are still a major part of Search Party, yet Galland expands a foundation inspired by the likes of Serge Gainsbourg, David Bowie and the Talking Heads with robust African beats, mangy T-Rex-style guitar and brassy horns.
