Vampires Everywhere! announced today that their debut EP entitled "Lost in the Shadows" will be released on February 9, 2010. Produced by Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, The Darkest Hour, Senses Fail, The Bled) the album features front man Michael Vampire's synth-driven vocals, venomous keyboard tones, assailing guitars, and dark brooding soundscapes on five addictive tracks. The band has quickly gained recognition in the music scene for their innovative, epic sounds which can be described as an infusion of music genres including screamo, dance, pop, and hardcore, giving life to their personal sound coined as "Vampire Rock." Of the new EP, lead singer Michael Vampire shares "We wanted to revive a genre that has been brutally stigmatized since it's inception, and we wanted to create something that wouldn't embarrass you with your windows down. We knew before we recorded the album that we would be criticized for our ideals, however we had to follow our hearts and be true to ourselves. People ask us if we consider ourselves to be real vampires, if you have to ask we are doing our jobs." The first single and music video entitled "Immortal Love" was released exclusively on Pure Volume on January 18, 2010. The music video, directed by Scott Hansen (Alesana, A Skylit Drive, A Day To Remember) and featuring Trishelle Cannatella of MTV's The Real World was quickly picked up and featured on MySpace Metal, AOL NoiseCreep, Absolutepunk, Ultimate Guitar, SPIKE, and Yahoo! Video, to name a few. "Lost in the Shadows" will be available on iTunes and various other online outlets.
