PR reports: Alice Cooper guitarist Keri Kelly
sent us over a quick update and reports that "Everything is well oiled
and chugging away out here on the road. The last few weeks on the Heaven
and Hell/Queensryche tour have truly been killer!" But more importantly
he kicked down some dates the Alice Cooper Halloween tour as well as their
trip to Europe in November.
The Heaven and Hell tour will soon come
to an end but Alice can't let the Halloween season go by without playing
for his fans. They'll kick off those festivities with an appearance at
the Scream Awards on October 19th and then head directly to Birmingham,
Al to kick off the Halloween tour with Phoenix fans getting the coveted
Halloween show! But other locals along the way will also be treated by
Alice this Halloween season.
Then the band head over to Europe and Russia
for a string of dates in late November. That tour kicks off with a two
night stand in Moscow on Nov 20th and 21st. They'll then travel to Finland
for three dates, and one offs in Sweden, Denmark, Latvia and Estonia. -

PR reports: The Soul of Rock Paul Rodgers
married former Miss Canada, Exercise Physiologist and Artist Cynthia Kereluk
in a surprise outdoor wedding ceremony on their 10th anniversary. The guests
were invited to a garden party at their country home and were informed
that the entertainment would begin at 7 pm - at which time it was announced
by Paul that the guests were actually attending their wedding.
So, under a rising moonlit sky of shooting
stars, in Canada's Okanagan Valley, Rodgers and Kereluk exchanged vows
before 70 of their closest friends and family. The most humorous moment
occurred when Cynthia was asked do you take this man to be your husband
and she responded with, "Absolutely!" and then added, "I do." "There is
magic on earth." said Paul
In October, Paul will be going into the
studio with Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor writing and recording new
songs for a potential Queen + Paul Rodgers album. - more

PR reports: That Jack Frost is one hard working
gentleman, and he continues to shred n' roll on the forthcoming Seven Witches
release, 'Deadly Sins.' With a release date of November 20th, the completed
album and artwork will also be released as a digital download - at midnight
Oct 31st (Halloween) to be exact – exclusively at
www.groovejunctionone.com.
In addition to Frost's impressive six string
skills, the album features two other metal giants in their respective fields
– ex-Hades/Watchtower vocalist Alan Tecchio (who also appeared on Seven
Witches' 'Amped' release), as well as Armored Saint, Fates Warning, Anthrax
bassist Joey Vera. 'Deadly Sins' turned out to be one of the trickiest
Seven Witches releases to complete – a solid year in the making – due to
the fact that it is a concept record (based on the "7 Sins of Mahatma Gandhi").
Additionally, other musicians lent a hand, including bassists Clint Arent
(of Pain Museum), Kevin Bolembach (ex Non Fiction), and a drummer who goes
by the nom de plum of 'Troll.'- more

PR reports: Killers are hard at work collecting
B-sides, rarities and one-off sides for a compilation album to be released
later this year, entitled SAWDUST, out November 13th. The band is hunkered
down at a recording studio in New York's Hell's Kitchen, completing the
album with Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Lou Reed.
In England alone, the Killers' Brandon
Flowers told Billboard.com last week, "We have a lot of B-sides that people
in America would never know about because we don't have singles here. So
we have about 15 of these songs that people have never heard, and we wanted
to stick them on something for people to get to have them all together."
The website went on to mention a handful
of titles- those

PR reports: Seattle's progressive youth group,
The Fall of Troy will be traveling the country with their Equal Vision
labelmates Coheed and Cambria on a North American tour this fall. Sandwiched
between the two prog-punk bands on the tour is Maryland's blue-collar rock
band, Clutch.
The summer of 2007 has been a whirlwind
for The Fall of Troy who kicked it off by releasing their third album,
Manipulator to astonishing praise. Alternative Press calls Manipulator,
"an outstanding and remarkably diverse effort," while the more aggressive
publication Decibel singles out the album as being "hyper-caffeinated and
wonderfully unusual."- dates

will get close to fans and preview new material with The Question Jar Show,
a November duo tour of small East Coast clubs. In addition to taking requests
from the audience and introducing new songs, Doughty will answer questions
that fans place in a jar at the venue -- no question too weird, no topic
taboo.
Multi-instrumentalist Andrew Livingston
will join Doughty on the 12-date run, which kicks off November 2 in South
Padre Island, Texas, and continues through November 19 in Philadelphia,
including two-night stands in Minneapolis and New York.
Mike Doughty's new album, Golden Delicious,
is complete and planned for an early 2008 release by ATO Records. The album
was produced by Grammy Winner Dan Wilson, who previously helmed Doughty's

PR reports: If overwhelmingly more chickens
are raised and killed for food than all other land animals combined, why
are they not protected by the Humane Slaughter Act? That's exactly what
peta2-the world's largest youth animal rights organization-and members
from numerous bands would like to know.
Members of Chiodos, Boys Like Girls, Rise
Against, Silverstein, Scenes From a Movie, Mustard Plug, The Dollyrots
and Bandcamp along with Dave Melillo (who played with Cute Is What We Aim
For all summer) have signed peta2's "I Am Not A Nugget!" petition calling
for chickens—who make up 98% of all land animals slaughtered for food—to
be protected by the Humane Slaughter Act.
Why are so many top bands sounding a sour
note against cruelty to chickens? In factory farms, chickens—who are known
to be as smart as cats and dogs and have the same capacity to feel pain—are
crammed into dark, filthy sheds, where each bird is confined to a space
about the size of a sheet of paper.- more

antiMusic reports: Our friend Stuart Smith
(Heaven and Earth/Sweet) sent us over an update on a cool new jam night
he's taking part in. Thought we'd pass this along for those in the LA area
as this looks like a really good time. Here is the message: We have started
a regular Wednesday night blues/rock jam at The Aqua Lounge in Beverly
Hills under the name "Pandora's Electric Box." It harkens back to the days
of the old Speakeasy in London which was a classy club in the center of
town with a killer house band and everyone from Hendrix to The Beatles,
The Who, Deep Purple, Zeppelin, etc, would go and hang out and sometimes
get up and jam. Last week was a great success with a packed house and Howard
Leese, guitarist from Heart/Paul Rodgers, joined us onstage along with
a few other guests. We will be having great players join us on a weekly
basis.
"Pandora's Electric Box" consists of Stuart
Smith/guitar, Joe Retta/vocals, Richie Onori/drums, Mark Meadows/bass and
Stu Simone/keyboards. We will be playing everything from blues to rock
and will be having some amazing guests come down to jam so please come
down and join us for an evening of great entertainment as we want to make
this a regular hang for musicians and lovers of great music. Showtime begins
at 9.30 and we'll be playing all night but feel free to come earlier for
dinner.
The Aqua Lounge has a really cool vibe
with a great restaurant, 2 bars and a brand new sound system and is located
at 424 North Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills. 90210, one block south of Santa
Monica Blvd. For an inside look check out www.aqualoungebh.com Please call
(310) 275-8511 if you'd care to reserve a table.- crave
