(antiMusic) Our friend Stuart Smith (Heaven and Earth/Sweet) sent us over an update on a cool new jam night he's taking part in. Thought we'd pass this along for those in the LA area as this looks like a really good time. Here is the message: We have started a regular Wednesday night blues/rock jam at The Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills under the name "Pandora's Electric Box." It harkens back to the days of the old Speakeasy in London which was a classy club in the center of town with a killer house band and everyone from Hendrix to The Beatles, The Who, Deep Purple, Zeppelin, etc, would go and hang out and sometimes get up and jam. Last week was a great success with a packed house and Howard Leese, guitarist from Heart/Paul Rodgers, joined us onstage along with a few other guests. We will be having great players join us on a weekly basis."Pandora's Electric Box" consists of Stuart Smith/guitar, Joe Retta/vocals, Richie Onori/drums, Mark Meadows/bass and Stu Simone/keyboards. We will be playing everything from blues to rock and will be having some amazing guests come down to jam so please come down and join us for an evening of great entertainment as we want to make this a regular hang for musicians and lovers of great music. Showtime begins at 9.30 and we'll be playing all night but feel free to come earlier for dinner.
