antiMusic reports: Seattle headbangers Demon Hunter's new album "Storm the Gates of Hell" which hit stores earlier this month. To celebrate the release we asked Ryan Clark to pick his five favorite tracks from the CD and tell us a bit about each one. Here is Ryan with today's song: I Am You: This song was written in order to connect the listener with myself. The first verse is meant to show how we can both be weak and broken.. and the second verse is meant to show how we can both be strong and push through the hard times. It's a celebration of all things human. It's meant to give people a feeling of belonging and perseverance. Lead Us Home: This song is a call to God, to deliver us from the trials of this world. It's meant to be a surrender of my will and a cry for help. In the lyrics I beg for one more day to make things right, but also ask to be taken away from all the pain in this life. Check out previews from the album, grab tour dates and learn more about Demon Hunter (and check out their tattooed friends)

antiMusic reports: The Cult's Ian Astbury has sparked the fires of the rampant speculation that Led Zeppelin plan a full out reunion tour next year. Guess who is going to open the tour? Astbury told fans during a show last weekend that the tour was happening. MTV.com says that Astbury told the crowd, "We'll be back next year because we're opening for a band you may have heard of ... the name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it." After a fan shouted, "Led Zeppelin," Astbury nodded and raised his arm in the air. In other Zeppelin news, Jimmy Page says the band will play a new song during their London concert. "There's one number that we rehearsed, I assume that it will make it to the Dome (the former name for the O2), that we never played at any point in time. It dates from when the band was together between 1968 and 1980. It's a really intense number."

antiMusic reports: Emo kids around the world broke out in tears causing mascara to run down their faces creating a river of black sticky discontent when the news dropped that Fall Out Boy were planning to go folk. (The girls cried too.) However the reports of their going folk were greatly exaggerated according to the group's frontman (do you know his name? It's not Pete Wentz). Patrick Stump (he's the frontman) says that he and the band's spokesmodel (Wentz) were misquoted. Seems Pete and Patrick were talking about how groovy the band thinks folk is and it somehow turned into the band making a folk album. Put away the razorblades, it's not true. "There was something that got misconstrued. Pete (Wentz, Fall Out Boy's bassist) was saying something about folk music, and I was saying something about folk music," Stump told MTV.com "I don't know if that's really going to be an influence. We were kind of thinking about folk music lyrically, and I think a lot of people assumed that meant acoustic guitars, which it doesn't."

antiMusic reports: After only a week on the road Ne-Yo has been bounced from R.Kelly's Double Up tour (also features Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday). Both sides have a different take on what happened, Ne-Yo says it was because he was getting better reviewers than Kelly. The official statement from Ne-Yo was pretty PC, "I am disappointed that I won't be able to perform for my fans," he said in the statement issued by his label. "I love being on stage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you; and they were really feeling our show." But he a bit more to add when asked by BET.com about what happened, "Let them [Jive] tell it, I was removed from the R. Kelly tour because of contractual agreements not being met, but that's absolutely false," Ne-Yo said. "I believe it was because the first few reviews of the show, people were talking more about my set than his and I don't think he liked that too much." Read R.Kelly's spokesperson's response

Contact Music reports: Nine Inch Nails have been forced to scrap plans for an official website to showcase fans' remixes of their songs, because the band's record company refuse to have any involvement in the project. Frontman Trent Reznor hoped to create a site where their devotees could listen to new tracks from the band's forthcoming remix album - but his plans had to be halted as Universal Records are currently locked in a legal battle with video-sharing sites YouTube and MySpace for breach of copyright. Universal, which owns the rights to Nine Inch Nails' material, is suing Internet giants Google - owners of YouTube - and MySpace's parent company - News Corp, for allowing copyrighted videos and music to be uploaded onto their sites. The ongoing legal wrangling means Reznor has been banned from creating his own site to share songs with fans because it could prove to be detrimental to the case.

antiMusic reports: Will MySpace replace traditional record labels? Probably not but there is an interesting experiment planned next year with the release of Pennywise's new album. Adweek has the report: MySpace is joining the search for a new business model for the music industry by enlisting the help of advertising.Next March, fans of punk band Pennywise can go to stores to buy the group's ninth album. Or they can go to the MySpace profile of Textango, a mobile music distributor, and add it as a friend, which will allow them to download the entire album for free. The promotion is the first test by MySpace of whether it can marry its enormous reach, fledgling record label it began two years ago and roster of advertiser relationships to create an alternative for bands to the current distribution model, which nearly all participants agree is faltering.

PR reports: Jon Foreman, the frontman for the multi-platinum band, Switchfoot is returning to his indie-scene roots by releasing four solo EPs over the coming months. These EPs, individually titled Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer, evoke vivid images of each season, making the collection a likely soundtrack to the year ahead. All four EPs will be released prior to the upcoming Switchfoot release in late 2008. "Because of the autobiographical nature of these songs, they became a self portrait that was far too personal for a band to release," says Foreman. "Tim, Chad and the rest of the band have been pushing me to get these types of songs out there for years. So I decided to let them go." According to Foreman the songwriting and production of these EPs were creatively intertwined. "Most of these songs were written and recorded the same night," said Foreman. "I would sing and play my guitar late at night until I got a take that captured what the song meant to me. From there I would add instruments to the vocal to see what would be appropriate. It was a very therapeutic, lonely, cleansing process."

Rockdirt reports: During MSNBC Live with Dan Abrams on Monday night (November 19), Dan's 'Winners & Losers' segment targeted 'American Idol' season five Chris Daughtry as the big loser of the day after he allegedly badmouthed the show backstage at the American Music Awards saying, "That show didn't make me who I am." Abrams talked with former 'Idol' finalist Carmen Rasmusen about the report and said it was taken out of context. Rockdirt will hook you up with a video to segment if you weren't one of the handful of people that watched the show.
