Love Surrenders To L.A. Police Free on $150K Bond

Courtney Love is no longer a fugitive from
justice. The troubled singer returned to Los Angeles on Friday and turned
herself into police. A warrant was issued for her arrest on July 9th (the
singers birthday) after she failed to appear in court for arraignment
on assault charges. Instead of going to court in Los Angeles, Love
was taken to a hospital in New York City for an undisclosed gynecological
issue.
Love was booked at a midtown Los Angeles
police station, posted a $150,000 bond and was released. A new arraignment
was set for Aug. 20.
Love was charged with assault with a deadly
weapon following an incident in April at her ex-manager/ex-boyfriends
home where Love allegedly attacked another woman.
The singer is also due in court next Tuesday
for sentencing on a drug charge, she plead guilty to. On Thursday a pretrial
hearing is set for another case in Beverly Hills, where Love faces charges
of illegal possession of a controlled substance (prescription painkillers).
