We mentioned this in yesterday's quicks but here is the official announcement Murderdolls return: Just when you thought all the fun was gone from rock music, you thought wrong, because the inimitable Murderdolls are back, emerging from a dormant period with their middle fingers to the sky, tongues planted firmly in their cheeks and ready to call out those that haunt today's predictable musical landscape. Their first album in eight years, entitled Women and Children Last, is set for release this summer through Roadrunner Records.Murderdolls are the Frankenstein brainchild of Joey Jordison and partner-in-grime, Wednesday 13. The band sees Joey step away from his day job and masked role behind the kit in Slipknot to playing a low-slung lead guitar, while Wednesday serves as the frontman in their macabre rock 'n' roll circus. The duo are ready to breathe new life into the project with a brand new line-up, while their 'f*** you' attitude, devilish glamour and trademark black sense of humor remain firmly in tact. Joey and Wednesday are excited to bring back their revamped musical monster, exclaiming, "We don't look at this as a return...this is REVENGE! The music scene today is as boring and stale as it was in 2002, when we first formed the band. This time around, everyone is the enemy!" Comments Joey, "We've waited eight years to make sure, but this is the perfect time to bring Murderdolls back to the world. We've got nothing to lose and nothing to prove. So raise your fist along with us motherf***ers and sorry if you get a bloody nose along the way. It's about to get ugly! Women and Children Last!!!"

Ryan Ross has spent the better part of his late teens as the chief songwriter for the wildly popular Las Vegas band, Panic! at the Disco. Throughout the band's two albums, Ryan exhibited a writing progression that began to fall increasingly outside the lines of the band's context. While Panic! were on their last world tour for Pretty. Odd, it became clear that Ross's and bandmate/co-writer Jon Walker's newest compositions needed a more fitting home. Ross and Walker picked up and moved west to California, forming their new quarters under the moniker- The Young Veins. Following closely in the verve of pop-tunesmiths of yesteryear, California-based 5 piece The Young Veins arrive with their debut, Take A Vacation!, on June 8th (One Haven Music), produced by Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet) and Rob Mathes (Panic!, Carly Simon, Lou Reed). The live band is made up of Ryan Ross on vocals and guitar (Panic! at the Disco), Jon Walker on vocals and guitar (Panic! at the Disco), Andy Soukal on bass, Nick White (Bright Eyes, Tilly and The Wall) on keyboards and Nick Murray on drums.

We've moved back to big, riff-driven guitar parts with melodies on top and a slightly harder edge." Jones later added, "In the past, there was always the pressures and expectations that came from being on a record label. Now, we have the freedom to put the business aside and just play rock music like we always wanted!"So what's the band been doing for the past five years? They've mostly been busy with Miley Cyrus.

In a message from Brooklyn atmospheric doomsters A Storm Of Light: "In just over two years since the band's inception, A Storm Of Light has had the honor and privilege of playing with many great drummers: Vinny Signorelli, Jason Roeder, Pete Angevine etc. While this band is built around revolving members both in touring and recording, we've decided that a central three-piece will make us sonically/rhythmically stronger. That said, we have decided to look for a permanent drummer, one that can make STORM their primary focus, and be part of the band for the long haul. We will be recording in early fall and going to Europe from September 28 - Nov 1. Ideally we want someone in Brooklyn/NYC, or damn close. While we are willing to consider people outside of the area (New Jersey/Philadelphia/Upstate NY/Providence/Boston/DC etc). Please keep in mind that we are constantly writing, recording, practicing, touring, so you will have to been in Brooklyn very regularly.

BloodLust! is pleased to announce the new Neil Jendon CD, "Cities In Flight," the striking follow-up to his 2008 release for the label, "Invisibility". On this new album, Jendon steers his Doepfer Analog Modular System through three carefully constructed and arranged electronic music compositions, commencing with a startling throb-throb, and working his way through loud, noisy and aggressive passages and more subtle, thoughtful, tempered segments. Jendon is a veteran of the Chicago music scene, who has shifted between roles as a psychedelically-driven guitarist in the early-90s alternative band Catherine [TVT Records], a more experimentally-minded guitarist in the avant-garde group Zelienople, and as half of Abduction [with Michael Miley], through which I first witnessed Neil's vivid modular synthesizer playing

(Century Media) With March Metal Month in full swing around the US, Century Media Records want to push as much brutality on all our loyal metal-coinsures as possible . To accomplish this, we asked the guards to lend us their keys to our rusty, slightly decrepit Vault which holds the history of Century Media Records inside. What we found was some seriously savages albums that have never seen the light of day outside of Europe. To rectify this situation, we knew the only answer was to get this digitized as soon as humanly possible, and the outcome is what we like to call The Century Media Vault Series, which documents more than 60 titles ranging from as far back as 1991 and as current as 2010.
