Bruce Kulick Releases New Song Featuring Nick Simmons

Bruce Kulick will release the debut single from his forthcoming album, BK3 on January 12th. The single "Hand Of The King" featuring Nick Simmons (son of KISS bassist Gene Simmons) will be a digital only release available at all online music stores, including iTunes. Nick was seen in Season 4 of Gene Simmons' Family Jewels in the studio with Gene performing for the BK3 CD.

"Although 'Hand Of The King' marks Nick's debut as a recording artist, he was a natural behind the microphone," says Kulick. "His lyrics are based on his passion for the dark imagery of the graphic novel world. The combination of vivid lyrics and brooding guitar riffs, against Nick's powerful vocal performance, absolutely resulted in one of my favorite tracks on BK3."

Cobra Starship On Primetime TV Tonight

Cobra Starship is kicking off 2010 with a performance on The Peoples Choice Awards, set to air live, January 6th at 8pm EST on CBS (check local listings).

Blind Pilot Release Live EP

Blind Pilot released a five-song iTunes Live EP on December 29. The EP, available exclusively on iTunes, includes newly recorded versions of album tracks "One Red Thread," "3 Rounds and a Sound," and "The Story I Heard," plus their stunning cover of Gillian Welch's "Look At Miss Ohio" and an unreleased Blind Pilot original, "Get It Out."

Recorded and mixed by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Laura Veirs) in Portland this fall, the EP is the first Blind Pilot release to feature all six touring members of the band: Israel Nebeker (vocals, guitar), Luke Ydstie (upright bass, vocals), Dave Jorgensen (trumpet, rhodes piano, harmonium), Kati Claborn (dulcimer, banjo, vocals), Ian Krist (vibraphone), and Ryan Dobrowski (drums).

Trey Anastasio Hitting The Road With Classic Tab

Trey Anastasio has had an incredible 2009 with Phish, which toured for the first time in over four years and closed out the year with four consecutive shows at Miami's American Airlines Arena last week. Now the singer/guitarist is preparing to hit the road with Classic TAB, which has backed him on many of his solo projects.

The tour kicks off with a special show at the Jefferson Theatre in Charlottesville, VA on February 8th. The date marks what would have been the 47th birthday of Trey's sister, Kristine, an esteemed author who died ofneuroendocrine cancer last April. Proceeds from the show will go to the Kristine Anastasio Manning Memorial Fund, which supports many of the causes and charities she devoted herself to.

Hitting several cities that Anastasio has never played before, the dates are the first for Classic TAB since they went out as a quartet last fall. Now they're adding horns back into the mix with Russell Remington (tenor saxophone and flute) and Jen Hartswick (trumpet and vocals) once again joining Russ Lawton (drums), Tony Markellis (bass) and Ray Paczkowski (keyboards). Paul Revere & the Raiders put the Pacific Northwest on the rock 'n' roll map with such smash hits as "Steppin' Out," "Kicks," "Hungry," "Just Like Me," "Good Thing," "Him Or Me — What's It Going to Be?," "Ups And Downs," "Let Me," "I Had a Dream," "Too Much Talk," "Indian Reservation" and many more — 62 A and B sides of singles in all. They were the rare '60s American singles band with true street cred. And on March 23, 2010, Collectors' Choice Music will release Paul Revere & the Raiders Featuring Mark Lindsay: The Complete Original Columbia Singles.

I believe every musician should have one unconditional fan who likes everything they do no matter what. Mine is a cliche. It's my Mother. Mom drags people out of stores into her car to listen to my music. Really!

One day she said ,"Ya know Toke you don't have to wait until I die to write a song about me". Well I was just waiting for the right inspiration. Mom is very spiritual and is constantly facing adversity but "Still She Thanks God". Once I had that line the rest of the song wrote itself. And of course Mom cries every time she listens to it.
