(antiMusic) Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today acclaimed Americana rocker Tokyo Rosenthal tells us about "Still She Thanks God" from his new CD 'Ghosts'. We now turn it over to Tokyo for the story: I believe every musician should have one unconditional fan who likes everything they do no matter what. Mine is a cliche. It's my Mother. Mom drags people out of stores into her car to listen to my music. Really! One day she said ,"Ya know Toke you don't have to wait until I die to write a song about me". Well I was just waiting for the right inspiration. Mom is very spiritual and is constantly facing adversity but "Still She Thanks God". Once I had that line the rest of the song wrote itself. And of course Mom cries every time she listens to it. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here!
