I had my check up on Friday (February 5th) & they took off my cast & removed the staples. In a month I can start trying to walk. Santana Revisits Supernatural With The Legacy Edition

With a chart record that now spans five decades – from the '60s to the '00s – and one of the most consistently best-selling catalogs in modern recording history, Santana's torrid gumbo of blues-rock, rhythm and soul, Afro-Cuban jazz, Mexicano, and world music flavors is an enduring wonder of contemporary popular music. More than 40 summers after their trail-blazing Saturday afternoon performance at the Woodstock Music & Arts Fair on August 16, 1969, and the release of their iconic debut LP three days later, Santana occupies a unique status among surviving American bands.

A decade ago in June 1999, 30 summers after Woodstock, Santana released an album destined to be the biggest of their career. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Announce Surround Sound Remasters

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Mute announce the next installment in a series of releases that will ultimately see the band's entire studio album catalogue digitally re-mastered and remixed for 5.1 Surround Sound for the first time since their original release. Tender Prey, The Good Son and Henry's Dream (their fifth, sixth and seventh albums) will come out March 30th, 2010, each as a separate deluxe double-disc collectors edition.

Each deluxe edition contains the re-mastered stereo album, the new surround mix, a specially commissioned short film by UK artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard plus the b-sides from the singles, videos and exclusive sleeve notes.

Cancer Bats Preview New Album With Online Song Posting

Cancer Bats have posted a brand new track on their MySpace titled 'Scared To Death'. The track is taken from the forthcoming album Bears, Mayors, Scraps and Bones which will be released in the United States and Canada on April 13th. Listen here

Cancer Bats also just announced that they will be releasing a digital EP ahead of their album release. The EP will contain the tracks 'Scared To Death' and their take on the Beastie Boys' classic, 'Sabotage'.

Dutch independent Mascot Records has announced the March 13th release of Volbeat's 2-disc DVD Live: Sold-Out! Since the Danish metal quartet's formation in October, 2001, VOLBEAT has steadily risen to become one of the major attractions in the European scene. In an age of retreads, the band has been offering a unique blend of metallic hard rock alongside inspired Elvis-tinged melodies, and the world has taken notice.

Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Devin Moore from Rabbit! tells us about "Fall Into Love" from their brand new album "Connect The Dots". We now turn it over to Devin for the story:

I'm not ashamed to admit that as an adolescent I was a big fan of Phil Collins' second solo effort Hello, I Must Be Going. The first single "You Can't Hurry Love" was my toe-tapping, hip shaking favorite. It wasn't until later that I found out his was not the original nor definitive version, and lost a good deal of lunch money and pre-pubescent pride betting against the mighty Supremes. I apologize to music fans everywhere for my naivety, but I was foolish and impatient and usually skipped the liner notes.

Naturally both the embarrassing incident and the song stuck with me over the years and I can unequivocally cite lyrical inspiration for "Fall Into Love," from The Supremes "You Can't Hurry Love." Having a knack for being single for long periods of time certainly helped in the writing of this tune as well. The hopeless romantic part of me is continually and desperately looking around for love, while the "Little Fonzi" part says be cool, "Sit back and just relax," be like "a tenor sax, playing the smoothest jazz." You got to "fall into love," like a happy accident.

In other words, "You can't hurry love, you'll just have to wait."

Bad Lieutenant's Bernard Sumner Announces Tour Dates

Bad Lieutenant, the project formed in 2007 by New Order's Bernard Sumner (guitar, vocals) and Phil Cunningham (guitar), along with Jake Evans (guitar, vocals), is thrilled to announce that the band is coming to America to play four dates that will include a special appearance at the Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival (4/17). Shows in San Francisco (4/16), Chicago (4/19) and New York (4/21) are also now confirmed.

These dates will mark Bad Lieutenant's U.S. concert debut and are in support of the band's first album, Never Cry Another Tear, which was released last October through Original Signal Recordings.

Scottish Indie Rockers The Law Plot U.S. Invasion

Dundee is about to show the world how to lay it down…The Law, that is…With howling vocals, pummeling guitars, and juggernaut drumming, The Law is the latest force to be reckoned with coming out of Scotland's indie music scene. The young quartet delivers triumphant melodies with aggressive arena-scale rock that brings to mind a concoction of Queens of the Stone Age, The Libertines, and the White Stripes.

Suidakra Announce North American Dates

After a brief tour of Spain the guys in Suidakra are making their triumphant return to North America on tour this March with Orphaned Land.

There will be three dates in the United States one in New York, one in Chicago and one in Austin, TX (during the South By South West Music Festival). The tour will also touch down in Canada in both Montreal and Toronto. Tickets are on sale now.

Reckless Kelly Return with New Album

Off the helm of an Americana Music Award nomination for Best Duo or Group, Reckless Kelly release their seventh studio album Somewhere In Time today (Tues., Feb. 9.)

On Somewhere In Time, the band digs deep into its roots, revisiting the music of Pinto Bennett, who with his band the Famous Motel Cowboys influenced a generation of musicians in the Northwest and served as a mentor and idol to Willy and his brother Cody, whose fiddle, mandolin, harmonica and vocal work help propel Reckless Kelly. In the company of their bandmates, David Abeyta on lead guitar and mandolin, Jay Nazz on drums, and Chris Schelske on bass, they explore their country influences and re-introduce Bennett's music to a new generation of fans while placing their indelible, rock-edged stamp on it.

"While this is Pinto's material, this is very much a Reckless Kelly record. It's simply a bunch of great songs we thought people should hear," explains Cody. "A lot of Texas bands have been pushing country more toward rock," says Jay, "but to go back to playing real country music turned out to be extremely rewarding for us as a band." Pathology Begin Work on New Album With New Lineup

Recently signed to Victory Records, San Diego's Pathology will enter Doubletime Studios today to record their label debut. The band feels very comfortable there with producer/engineer Jeff Forrest, having worked together on the group's previous recordings.

Doubletime has been going for 20 years and has a great and diverse client list including As I Lay Dying, Atreyu and Bleeding Through. Upon completion of the tracks, the album will be mixed in March by Hate Eternal guitarist Erik Rutan at his Mana Studios (Cannibal Corpse, Vital Remains) for an anticipated early summer release.
