Attack! Attack! UK Week: Day 1
antiMusic reports: The British are coming! The British are coming! That is Attack! Attack! UK's new self-titled album is coming out next week and technically they are Welsh. To celebrate the pending release from these buzz worthy Welsh rockers, we asked the band's frontman Neil Starr to pick some of his favorite songs from the album and tell us about them. Here is Neil with today's song:

Say It To Me: We recorded the album in LA and it was our first time in the US , we had the music written for the track before we went to America but had no real lyrics or concept in mind for the song. Time was creeping up on us to record the vocals and we still didn't have lyrics or a concept so Stuart, our producer, said write a song about Hollywood and how fake it is. When we got back from the studio that night around 1am in the morning myself and Ryan sat at the table in our apartment eating flammin hot cheetos and basically wrote the song lyrics around the concept Stuart had mentioned in about 30mins .

The lyrics seemed to flow out of us and it was kinda weird cos normally lyrics take a long time to perfect but with this it all seemed to click, we just bounced lines off each other and loved the final lyrics . We took them to the studio the next day and the producers loved them too and we tracked them there and then!

Check out tracks from the album, get tour dates, read the members blogs and learn more about the coming attack right

GNR's Chinese Democracy To Be A Nov Best Buy?
antiMusic reports: We posted a Blabbermouth story on Friday based on a Rolling Stone report that there is a release date for the long over due "Chinese Democracy" album from Guns N' Roses. And it looks like this time the rumors may just be true.

Billboard confirmed that Best Buy will be the exclusive retailer for the album and they say it will be out before year's end. This was according to sources close to the situation. The music publication reported that some details of the deal are still being worked out, including the release date. Their full report

Rolling Stone on the other hand did publish a release date, they say the effort will hit Best Buy stores on November 25th. The source of the rumor is a supposed "vendor convention" that Best Buy had on Wednesday in Dallas, Texas. Guns manager Andy Gould told the 900 employees the news about "Chinese Democracy" before previewing three songs from the album. - more on this story

Plant Reportedly Agrees To Led Zeppelin Tour
antiMusic reports: Unnamed sources "close to an artist" are usually about as reliable as asking a random kid in the mall for hard news, but the unnamed sources close to Led Zeppelin were right leading up to the recent one off reunion show. Now a source claims Robert Plant is finally on board for a full scale reunion tour.

Here is the birminghammail.net report we ran last Friday for those that missed it: Rock legends Led Zeppelin are finally set to embark on a reunion tour after West Bromwich-born lead singer Robert Plant [REPORTEDLY] caved in and agreed to join the rest of the band, it was reported today.

Guitarist Jimmy Page, aged 64, bassist John Paul Jones, 62, and drummer Jason Bonham, 42, son of the late Led Zep drummer John Bonham, from Redditch, were resigned to going on the road without Plant.

They even rehearsed with stand-in singers in preparation for a tour next year following the massive success of a one-off concert at London's 02 Arena last December.[We added the reportedly above because this news came from an unnamed source.] - more on this story

But it's not their new album that has top a chart, it's the gazillion seller "Back in Black," which is on top of Billboard's Top Pop Catalog chart for the second consecutive week and the third week overall. This bods well for their forthcoming "Black Ice."

As for the new material, the single from the new album is enjoy success of its own. Billboard reports:

Fall Out From Product Whoring in Fall Out Boy Video
NME reports: Pete Wentz has expressed his dissatisfaction at a new Fall Out Boy music video, after a phone company had rather too much product placement in the clip.

On his blog, Wentz said that the video the band worked on for 'I Don't Care' was not the one that aired, and that they were not aware of the addition of the camera phone shots that ended up in the video.

The video went on sale on iTunes, and was full of product placement of Nokia phones, reports rollingstone.com, prompting Wentz to have the clip removed from iTunes and Youtube. - more on this story

My Bloody Valentine Planning New Album
guardian.co.uk reports: My Bloody Valentine to record new album. Kevin Shields and his band are to begin work on their first album in 17 years after he realized the material he abandoned in 1996 was pretty good after all.

Shields confirmed the rumors at the My Bloody Valentine-curated All Tomorrow's Parties festival this weekend, taking his earplugs out for long enough to talk to the New York Times.

He will be returning to songs started over a decade ago, during abortive sessions for Island Records. "I realized that all that stuff I was doing in 1996 and 1997 was a lot better than I thought," he said. - more on this story

TMZ reports: Nothing in life is free - unless you're a famous - but this time freebee's have put Metallica's bass player in the middle of serious legal battle.

Ex Korn Head Vs Christian Stores
Blabbermouth reports: Former Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch has issued the following statement (some key excerpts below, see the full story link for the full statement): "I have received a handful of messages from some conservative people complaining about the sex and drug references in my new music video for 'Flush'; and, I have recently learned that some select retailers are pulling my CD from their shelves because of my music video's content. So, I wanted to give an explanation of what the video means to me; and to address those select retailers that are pulling the CD from their shelves.

"The video for 'Flush' is about crystal meth addiction and the crazy things anyone addicted to meth will do while they're high or to get their fix. Everything the models were doing in the video is what I was wrapped up in while I was addicted to meth. The video is a very realistic look at the addiction and where it will lead you if you get hooked. I understand the images of the models may be too much for some people, but honestly, I was just trying to be real with what happened in my life and show where I was, as well as where I am at now.

"...I have also been informed that my CD is being pulled from a handful of retailers' shelves because of my music video's content. I totally understand that the video may be a bit too much for some conservative people and I respect everyone's choice. But to me, taking my CDs off the shelves because of a music video (that isn't being sold with the CD) is a bit too extreme! There is a huge message of hope on my CD and I believe those retailers that are pulling the CD from their shelves are robbing someone spiritually by taking it off of the shelves. But thank GOD for iTunes!" - more on this story
