PR reports: A rare portrait of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, created by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, will be auctioned by Christie's in New York City on November 24th. The limited edition print is signed by all three surviving members of Led Zeppelin Jimmy Page, Robert Plant & John Paul Jones along with drummer Jason Bonham (son of original drummer John Bonham) and Ronnie Wood, and commemorates the band's historic reunion concert at the O2 Arena in London on December 10, 2007. Led Zeppelin reformed especially to pay tribute to Ertegun, who passed away in 2006, with proceeds from the concert donated to the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund. Wood, an acclaimed visual artist, created the drawing entitled "A Tribute To Ahmet" specifically in aid of this landmark event. With both Robert Plant and John Paul Jones recently stating publically that there are no plans for any further reunion shows by the line-up of Plant, Page, Jones, and Bonham, the print takes on even more historical significance.

Wired.com reports: Three months ago, [Wired.com's] Listening Post followed Stephen Colbert's lead and wondered aloud why Rush hadn't made the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet. We asked the readership to chime in on the snub, and it hit us back with a record 500 responses. We might have to check the math, but that might also be an overall site record as well. Listening Post also contacted our source at the Hall and asked if it would be cool enough to field three burning questions from Rush fans, and they agreed. Recent news that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's American Masters Series kicks off on Monday with a bow down to guitar legend and master tinkerer Les Paul only made those questions burn further. After all, Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson is one of rock's greatest ax masters, and has been known to shred righteously on Les Pauls of many colors. Serendipity! So time's up, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Listening Post sifted through the hundreds of responses and found their major recurring themes, which are best exemplified by the three urgent queries

FMQB reports: While the prospect of another 50 Cent vs. Kanye West sales showdown has been squashed now that the MCs have moved their release dates, there will be a different Hip-Hop battle of sorts on November 2[4]. That day, Ludacris' new CD, Theater Of The Mind, will drop at the same time as Kanye's 808s & Heartbreak. However, the two albums are notably different - Kanye is going more in the direction of singing while Ludacris is "rapping my heart out." "It's gonna be two great albums and I think what [Kanye] is doing is inspiring," Luda told MTV News. "People are looking for something new. From the songs I heard from him, I thought that's just what he was doing new and interesting... I'm rapping my heart out," he continued.

There is something prophetic about the Senses Fail title, Life is Not a Waiting Room. Perhaps they are stretching our ability to withstand the same dangerously monotonous, bubble-gum pop sound, intermittently infused with speed metal, one song after another. (3 stars)

Not only do they stay perfectly intact with death metal bonds, but Sotajumala has fun doing it
well, if infanticide is considered fun, then yes. Is this a classic album? No, but certainly memorable, if not motivating.
