PR reports: Electronic music pioneers Delerium have announced the D-Tour 2008 North American Tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on September 11 and ends in Atlanta on October 4. This marks the first major tour for front man Bill Leeb and Delerium in five years. Fans can expect guest vocalists from past Delerium albums to make special appearances, including Sixpence None The Richer's Leigh Nash and chanteuse Kristy Thirsk. Up and coming fellow Nettwerk artists Elsiane and Morgan Page will support the entire 16-date run. Delerium has also been spending time in the studio working on their next project, an acoustic that will be comprised of past hit singles as well as two new tracks. Since the release of their Nettwerk debut album Semantic Spaces in 1995, Delerium has gone on to sell over a million albums in North America alone, and are also known for a string of successful singles, including the worldwide dance smash "Silence" (featuring the talents of superstar Sarah McLachlan), which sold over 300,000 copies in the UK. Other hits have included "After All," "Innocente (Falling In Love)" "Underwater" and "Heaven's Earth."

PR reports: Warner Bros. Records is very pleased to announce that it has signed a North American distribution deal with Big Brother Recordings, home of the multi-platinum, Award-winning iconic British rock band Oasis. The first new release under the deal will be the group's forthcoming studio album, Dig Out Your Soul, on October 7th, 2008. The first single will be the Noel Gallagher-penned "The Shock of the Lightning," which will impact US radio beginning Mid-August.Dig Out Your Soul, Oasis's seventh studio album, is the first new music from the band since 2006's "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" the single from the Baillie Walsh directed road movie of the same name. Produced by Dave Sardy, who also produced Oasis' critically acclaimed 2005 album Don't Believe the Truth, Dig Out Your Soul once again features songwriting contributions by all four band members: vocalist Liam Gallagher, guitarists Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer, and bassist Andy Bell. The album, which was recorded at Abbey Road and mixed in Los Angeles, marks Oasis' new approach to songwriting. As principle songwriter Noel Gallagher puts it: "I wanted to write music that had a groove, not songs that followed that traditional pattern of verse, chorus, and middle eight. I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic and driving, with songs that would draw you in; songs that you would maybe have to connect to -- to feel."

Kayos reports: Cry Me A River By Joe Cocker out on DVD September 16. From the treasure-trove vaults of the German WDR-TV's "Rockpalast" series comes the great Joe Cocker soulfully strutting and singing his greatest hits as well as his personalized takes of Marvin Gaye, Procol Harum, Billy Preston, Lennon/McCartney and others. It's an R'n'B soul-de-force as this classic rocker gets down with his one-of-a-kind spasmodic showmanship. Filmed at Berlin's world-famous Metropol on October 31, 1980, Cocker's in fine voice as he rocks through 12 songs in one hour like a man possessed. Cocker today, at 64, is still putting out great music. His current album is Hymn For My Soul, released earlier this year. Other exciting Cocker DVDs on Eagle Rock Entertainment include Live At Montreux 1987 (the first of his four appearances at the prestigious fest), Live: Across From Midnight Tour and Respect Yourself: Live. Eagle Records has also put out Cocker's No Ordinary World and Respect Yourself CDs.

Candlebox's return to the radio is obviously nothing more than a quick cash in to pay the bills. The whole album sounds phoned in and many of the tracks reach new heights of cheesiness that Candlebox had never achieved before. (2 stars)

Songwriting credits are given to the entire band but I have the feeling that there's one person who's trying to keep the band from falling into the typical emo trap and hopefully we'll hear more of that person's influence next time out. (3 stars)

When it comes to the nu-death thing, I can wholeheartedly label The God of All Mistakes one of its finest offerings, yet that still does not shine light on Eminence's unnecessary nosedive into anal-raping stupidity.
