antiMusic reports: Invitro is the new project
from ex-Snot/Soulfly guitarist Mikey Doling that made quite a name for
themselves on the Family Values tour this summer. Their debut ' When I
Was A Planet' hit stores this month and to celebrate we asked frontman
Jeff Weber to pick his favorite five tracks from the CD and tell us a little
bit about each one. We'll now turn it over to him for today's song "New
Disease":
New Disease is the first song that we as
a band ever recorded to be passed on to the public. It has been the opener
to ninety percent of our live shows, and is also the opening song on our
record. The song was initially named robotic bible after one of my favorite
lyrics in the song, but was eventually changed to the more fitting, New
Disease.

Gigwise reports: A man has died after an incident
in the crowd at a Smashing Pumpkins concert in Vancouver on Monday (September
24th). Police say the man was unconscious when he was pulled from the crowd
after becoming involved in either a moshing or crowd surfing incident.
He was then taken to the side of the stage
at the PNE Forum where first aid personnel worked on him before he was
transferred to St. Paul's Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Const. Howard Chow said that police had
"determined that there wasn't any foul play or suspicious circumstances
involved," but admitted that the death "could" have been the result of
an out of control mosh-pit. - more

antiMusic reports: Celebrity Justice in the
US continues it's losing streak with prosecutors failing to convict another
celeb. This time "Wall of Sound" record producer Phil Spector convinced
enough of the jurors in his murder trial that the victim died of suicide
to deadlock the jury. And authorities are also investigating a Myspace
murder threat against the judge.
The judge in the trial declared a mistrial
after the jury declared they were hopelessly deadlocked. But prosecutors
haven't given up, they plan to take Spector to trial again where he faces
15 years to life if found guilty of murdering "b" movie actress Lana Clarkson
at his home in 2003. Meanwhile, the judge in the case, Larry Paul Fidler,
is taking some heat online with Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department
investigating a murder threat posted on Myspace.- more

antiMusic reports: 50 Cent didn't have what
it takes to beat Kanye West but Reba sure did. While he still has the biggest
ego in popular music but Kanye West is no longer king of the charts after
a 76% drop in sales he was dethroned from the top of the charts after only
one week by country queen Reba McEntire's star-studded new effort "Reba
Duets."
"Reba Duets" sold 301,000 copies last week
according to Nielsen SoundScan data released by Billboard magazine. Kanye's
"Graduation" landed at No. 2 with sales of 226,000 copies which helped
him again beat 50 Cent. Fiddy's "Curtis" suffered an almost 80% drop in
sales with 143,000 sold last week to earn him 3rd place.
Kenny Chesney's "Just Who I Am: Poets &
Pirates" rounded out the top 5 with 112,000 in sales. James's Blunt's sophomore

had something to do with the murder of rapper Notorious B.I.G. took a major
blow this week when a witness changed his story saying he lied about police
involvement in the case.
Billboard reports: A prison inmate who
implicated a former Los Angeles Police Department officer in the murder
of Notorious B.I.G. says he lied about the officer's involvement, a move
that provides another twist in a complex and unsolved killing.

now serving a life sentence for murder in a separate case, said in an Aug.

PR reports: Twiztid's upcoming "Toxic Terror
Tour" featuring Mower has been cancelled. The tour cancellation was due
to a recent car accident involving Twiztid's Monoxide where he suffered
a torn ACL muscle in his knee, a serious injury that requires him to stay
off it for the next 6-8 weeks for fear of tearing it further.
"It's unfortunate, but we got the news
that the upcoming tour with Twiztid has been cancelled. We were all looking
forward to playing for the Juggalos on this tour, as they've been nothing
but cool to us. We wish Monoxide a quick recovery and hope he can get back
to work soon," says Mower frontman Brian Sheerin. "We got the bad news
right at the same time that we found out that 'Road Rage' is now the #3
most requested metal track on Sirius Hard Attack. It's unfortunate because
we need to connect with the people around the country who have been supporting
Mower and want to see us perform live. We are working on getting back out
on the road on another tour before the end of the year, so hopefully we'll
be out there tearing up your town soon."- more

antiMusic reports: It's good to see that some
things never change. Even though they are a few years past their heyday,
Puddle of Mudd's Wes Scantlin is still a bozo. Puddle of Mudd's Famous
comes out on October 9th and what a perfect way to hype your new CD then
to get banned from Graceland for doing something really stupid like jumping
into the Kings pool because you just feel like it.
The hype or rather announcement reads:
Puddle of Mudd has been banned from Graceland! The band was touring the
mansion of Elvis Presley on September 24th when front man Wesley Scantlin
decided to jump into the pool. The guards removed him and he is now banned
from Graceland for life!
"I just wanted to go for a swim," he said.
For those fans that remain you can check out a sample of the track Psycho-

antiMusic reports: Tommy Lee said in a recent
interview that he was kinda over rock well it seems that his now former
band Motley Crue is kinda over Tommy Lee. This according to what Nikki
Sixx told Howard Stern in a recent interview.
Metalunderground has this recap: "Howard
asked Nikki about the chicks he's banged and if he names any of the really
famous chicks he had. He wasn't going to get into those names so Howard
asked him what's up with the band now. Tommy Lee has quit the band so he's
out now.
Nikki said that they had this manager working
with the band and he started to demand more money to have Tommy in it with
them. The guy kept demanding more money and they ended up suing the guy
because of what he was doing. He said they lost 10s of millions of dollars
because Tommy was out doing solo stuff. He said that guy cost them a lot
of money so they had to sue him. Tommy pulled out of the band because of
that and the battle is still going on. He said you'd think that Tommy would
support the band but that's not the case. Nikki said that Tommy isn't the
singer or songwriter so they should be fine without him.
