antiMusic reports: Just got news about some
reissues from the band that inspired Metallica. Here is the announcement:
Diamond Head is undoubtedly one of the most important names in the history
of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. Put next to giants like
Iron Maiden and Saxon, the band's music is a constant inspiration to various
modern acts - Megadeth's Dave Mustaine along with Metallica's James Hetfield
and Lars Urlich often mentioned Diamond Head as one of their most important
influences in the entire music business. The group's albums to this day
impress NWOBHM enthusiasts and gather new fans, delivering all the best
features of ambitious heavy metal music one could desire.
And today Metal Mind Productions presents
re-issues of two Diamond Head's albums: "Borrowed Time" from 1982 - one
of Diamond Head's most intense productions, taking the listener on a journey
through fascinating arrangements and enchanting melodies - and "Canterbury"
from 1983 - the album featuring a drastic style-change, as the band decided
not to limit themselves to the heavy metal genre and incorporated many
hard rock ideas into the record. Diamond Head to this day remains a living
legend of the NWOBHM genre. Now, with these reissues, heavy metal enthusiasts
can once again witness the power of the classic compositions that forever
changed the concept of metal music. Both titles will be released on the
15th October 2007 via Metal Mind Productions.- cd

PR reports: The roundabout journey of Chris
Stills' self-titled second album started in France where the President
of V2 Records signed the artist in 2005. Soon thereafter, the CD was released
all across Europe and Canada, and with buzz mounting on the European continent
(the Irish Times called it "sparkly, summery unkempt music"), Stills was
looking forward to the U.S. release earlier this year, but suddenly, V2
shuttered its doors in America.
Street date for the new album on the KCJ
Records label is January 29, 2008.
Stubbornly the determined Stills couldn't
and wouldn't, let this album die. The songs were much too close to his
heart to get lost in yet another record label implosion. "These songs grew
out of an intensely important time for me just before I was resigned to
V2," Stills says. "I was about to throw in the towel on my musical career.
I'd just spent the last few years shopping for a new deal and no matter
how good I felt about those few hundred shows and no matter how grateful
I was for all the love and support it didn't seem like it was ever enough
to get me where I needed to go." But then Chris, rediscovering his muse
Heidi, saw his life changing for the better. "I remember sitting on the
couch, so happy to be with her again. I said, 'You're going to bring me
luck.' Literally in the next breath, the phone rang and it was my manager
saying, "We're going to Paris!"- the

antiMusic reports: Mike Mangione is out on
the road supporting his album Tenebrae but is also picking up acclaim along
the way and we know our readers are always on the lookout for emerging
artists of note so we're passing this info on.
New York Magazine featured Mike Mangione
a few days back on their website regarding his song You Don't Wanna Leave:
"This warm and rootsy song from Chicago+Milwaukee singer/songwriter Mike
Mangione could be the perfect tune for the impending autumn weather. Its
honey richness sticks in your head, and made me smile from the moment I
first heard the opening melody.
"The acoustic playfulness reminds me a
bit of Van Morrison, and is recommended for fans of the literate alt-county
of Rocky Votolato, or even the catchy pop hooks of Rob Thomas, believe
it or not. Tenebrae is the Latin word for darkness, and it's also the title
of his newest release, which can be streamed in full over on his website."-

PR reports: On October 2 Lost Highway will
release Mescalito, the label debut album from Texas singer-songwriter Ryan
Bingham. Mescalito contains 14 songs written by Bingham, following in the
tradition of some of the great Texas songwriters such as Towns Van Zant.
Mescalito was produced by former Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford, who
also plays on the album. Bingham's music, as well as his live performances
have already made fans of acclaimed artists such as Patti Griffin and Texas
legends Joe Ely and Terry Allen.
At 25, the bumpy course of Bingham's life
has already surpassed that of many twice is age. From his bordertown upbringing
to his years on the Southwestern rodeo circuit, Bingham's poignant songs,
sung through his whiskey-soaked voice, reflect his experiences and the
wisdom he has gained from them. His songs are raw, honest and born out
of a genuine soul.
From the opening track "Southside of Heaven"
to the bluesy slide of "Bread & Water" to the Mexican-flavored "Boracho
Station", Bingham's songs come straight from the heart. His influences
blend seamlessly with his own style creating a traditional sound that also
sounds fresh and original. Bingham has the unique ability to transport
audiences into the center of the place from which they came. Listen to
"Southside Of Heaven"- here

Richie's 1991 solo album, 'Stranger

and naked records ever released and dare I say it, but it's the best album
of the last twenty-five years that Eric Clapton never made.
