Contact Music reports: Former pop legend Britney
Spears has been accused of threatening to kill two celebrity photographers
and throwing a baby bottle at them. The 25-year-old was involved in the
alleged scuffle with the two men last week as they tried to take pictures
of her leaving the Wynn Las Vegas resort.
A statement from the lawyers of Andrew
Deetz and Kyle Henderson claims that Britney had shouted "I am going to
kill you!" It also alleges her bodyguard Cesar Julio Camera grabbed Deetz
from behind before punching and kicking him. Britney then reportedly ran
towards Henderson but was stopped from reaching him by security from the
resort.
She is alleged to have advised Deetz to
get a restraining order against her because she would kill him or hire
someone that could. [sorry about the headline we just couldn't resist with
the goofiness of this whole thing. Maybe next she will be charged with
assault with a deadly baby bottle?]

antiMusic reports: Punkbands says there was
a drug bust for the New Found Glory crew while they are on the Warped Tour.
Must not have been a major bust as the band's label issued a statement
saying that the crew member was only charged with a misdemeanor. No one
in the band was arrested.
Drive-Thru Records statement: While in
the Indianapolis area, the tour bus New Found Glory was traveling on was
stopped by police for having high beams engaged while driving. The police
searched the bus and one of the crewmembers was detained and charged with
a misdemeanor. - more

an AP report. The artists have volunteered their time for the event which
will take place at the school's Lane Stadium on September 6th and will
be funded by corporate sponsorships and sales of concert merchandise.

Hecklerspray reports: When you're famous,
people think that they own you - or, more specifically, they think they
own your husband's balls, as Faith Hill realised this weekend when a female
concert-goer got all grabby on her husband Tim McGraw's nicknacks.
When a ballsy female concertgoer reached
out and grabbed Tim McGraw's nether regions Saturday at the Cajundome in
Lafayette, Louisiana, his missus [Faith Hill] told the errant fan in no
uncertain terms that that sort of behavior is frowned upon in them there
parts
"Somebody needs to teach you some class,
my friend," a finger-wagging Hill told the woman. "You don't go grabbin'
somebody else's, somebody's husband's balls, you understand me? That's
very disrespectful!"- more

antiMusic reports: The race is on! Who will
release their long overdue album first? The Eagles or Guns N' Roses? According
to Billboard it looks like The Eagles may beat Axl and company to the punch
as they are wrapping up work on their first studio album since "The Long
Run" which hit in 1979.
Joe Walsh told Billboard that fans should
expect something different from the new album with writing input from each
member. The line up these days include Walsh, Glenn Frey, Don Henley and
Timothy B Schmit. Notice a name that is curiously absent?
"It's hard to compare to anything that
I hear out there now," Walsh said of the music. He also says that the album
is practically in the bag, "We're just finishing vocals and mixing it.
We're all finally signing off on it." - more

antiMusic reports: Trail of Dead posted an
interesting update to their website about Interscope's plans to repackaging
their entire catalog under different names. We don't know how serious to
take this item given the band's sense of humor (including their announcement
about creating an android drummer) and a quote attributed to a label spokesperson
but here is the news as they delivered it (real or not): Interscope Records
revealed their plans this past Friday to re-release five albums from recording
artists ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead ahead of an anticipated
sixth album release in early 2008.
Each of the five albums, only two of which
were released under the band's current recording contract with Interscope
Records, will receive new titles and new packaging. The track listing and
songs themselves will remain unchanged from their original versions.
Interscope spokesman Thomas Kraft spoke
to the media about the subtle subconscious promotional reasoning behind
the unorthodox move. "We're trying to concoct a storm in the media and
indeed in the general music-going public that will hopefully create a tidal
wave of sales for the new old records. Each record has individual traits
particular to successful mainstream sales. So as to make things easier
for the public, we're going to call the first album 'Trail of Dead', the
second 'Trail of Dead II', so on and so forth and release [the albums]
in sequential order over a five week period." Interscope are hoping to
release the string of albums this fall, coincidently mirroring the release
timeframe for a greatest hits compilation from original numerical album
pioneers Led Zeppelin.

the charts in their homeland according to Jam!]

Melbourne (tonight) and Sydney (August 3rd). The following weekend they

antiMusic reports: Up until now if you wanted
to download "Highway to Hell" or "Let Me Put My Love Into You," you've
been forced to do it illegally. That is no longer the case as AC/DC has
inked an exclusive deal with Verizon Wireless to sell their catalog online.
There are a couple of catches. First you
will only find digital AC/DC through Verizon VCast Music service for PCs.
And you can't pick and choose which songs you want, you have to buy the
full albums at about $12 each according to Billboard. The one exception
being "You Shook Me All Night Long" which you can download to your cell
phone.- more

featuring SEPULTURA founding members Max (guitar, vocals) and Igor Cavalera

Remains Insane" DVD at the event.

stick due to countless bands that have had similar-sounding monikers over
the years) is currently putting the finishing touches on its debut album

Gigwise reports: It doesn't look like a Fugees
reunion is going to happen anytime soon - Wyclef Jean has lashed out at
former band mate Lauryn Hill, claiming that her diva ways and desire to
produce is what's stopping them from re-forming.
Speaking to Scratch Magazine, he said:
"Lauryn is straight up the problem, bro. She wants to be a producer. Don't
come telling us how to chop up beats so you can get credit for it."
Wyclef goes on to describe Hill's diva-like
tendencies. "Don't come back and be like, 'I wanna produce a beat.' That's
like me saying I wanna sing an R&B vocal. - He's
just getting warmed up, read more of the fury against the diva here
