Scissor Sisters will kick off their North American tour on August 21st at Atlanta's Buckhead Theatre.The tour is in support of their latest album, Night Work, which hit the top of iTunes' Top Pop Albums chart and into the Top 10 of iTunes' Top Albums chart. The tour will include a show at Terminal 5 (August 24th) in the band's hometown of New York City and a night at Los Angeles' historic Hollywood Palladium (September 11th).

Shakira and Freshlyground will be performing "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)," the Official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, during the closing ceremonies. The performance will take place on the field at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg on July 11 at 6:42 local time to precede the final match of the cup and will be available to all FIFA network partners. Sony Music announced today that Shakira featuring Freshlyground's Waka Waka (This Time For Africa), the Official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, has reached one million singles sold since it became available May 11. In the history of the World Cup. "Waka Waka" is the fastest-selling single and the biggest-selling World Cup single of the digital age. All proceeds from the song will benefit FIFA's Official Campaign of the 2010 FIFA World Cup "20 Centers for 2010."

John Jorgenson releases two new albums: Istiqbal Gathering and One Stolen Night. As one of the pioneers of American gypsy jazz music, Jorgenson is celebrating the father of gypsy jazz, Django Reinhardt, whose 100th birthday would have been this year, with two album releases and a touring schedule that takes him across the country and across the pond with the John Jorgenson Quintet. Widely known as the "U.S. Ambassador of Gypsy Jazz," Jorgenson has earned a reputation as a world-class musician and guitarist and has collaborated with the likes of Elton John, Luciana Pavarotti, Bonnie Raitt and Bob Dylan. Both new releases see this legendary musician exploring new elements of world music, bluegrass, rock and classical as Jorgenson expands the range of gypsy jazz, captivating and enlightening fellow musicians and listeners along the way.One Stolen Night, Jorgenson's first 2010 release, is the second album credited to the John Jorgenson Quintet, following up on the Billboard Jazz chart success of Ultraspontane. This collection contains a mix of standards and new compositions, with plenty of clarinet and swing, plus a vocal and the addition of the Greek bouzouki into the Quintet's instrumentation. The Quintet recorded all of the tracks in two days using minimal production, resulting in a "live in the studio" sound that is warm, rich and so crisp that it transports the listeners to an intimate private concert.

The Orange County, California Great Park will become an artists village this Saturday at Growing the Park, a wide-ranging event marking the fifth anniversary of the Orange County Great Park.
