Captain Accident To Pick up the Microphone Next Week

07/07/2010
.
Captain Accident will be releasing his debut full-length album "Pick up the Microphone" next Monday July 12th through Go Steady Records.

Captain Accident is an up and coming artist from Cardiff, who has been generating a real buzz on the British reggae / ska circuits in the last twelve months. Following the success of his debut single "Fire! Fire! Fire!" which was released in February this year, Captain Accident seems destined to cement his name alongside other Welsh musical acts that have taken the world by storm and put our little country on the map!

After receiving rave reviews from the release of his single, and from touring all around the UK, Captain Accident teamed up with Go Steady Records to launch his debut full length album "Pick Up The Microphone", which will be available from all good online music retailers, record shops in South Wales, and of course at his live shows, from Monday 12th July 2010.

Founder of Go Steady Records, Sam Holland said: "It has been our pleasure to work with Captain Accident on this project. He is a very talented artist, and one of the most hard-working I've ever met! The album sounds phenomenal and I can't wait for everyone to hear it. It's a real summer record, so as long as the British weather holds up its side of the bargain, we're confident that this album is going to be a great success!"

"Pick up the Microphone" is entirely self-produced by Captain Accident himself, which is a mammoth task for any artist. Captain Accident had this to say: "Captain Accident started out as a bedroom project, so I've always felt the first album should reflect that. It's quite a personal album to me, and so I really wanted to make sure it was exactly as I envisioned it. It was ridiculously hard work, but in listening to the finished product I can honestly say that it was more than worth it."

The ten track album has been eagerly awaited by fans from across the United Kingdom for more than a year, since he first started touring with his band – The Disasters. To coincide with the launch of "Pick up the Microphone" Captain Accident and The Disasters will be heading out on a two week tour around the UK following the album launch party in Koko Gorillaz in Cardiff on Friday 9th July 2010.

Upcoming July tour dates include:
