Singer and dynamite performer, Emii, released her new music video for "Magic" and has reached over 650,000 views in a single day. "Magic" took the #1 spot for Music on YouTube for the day and the #6 spot for overall videos. The video made such an impression that even Lady Gaga and Rihanna subscribed to Emii's YouTube channel! Her newly recorded album shows off her powerhouse vocals and her ability to get the whole world dancing. "Magic" is a fun, sexy song that begs the timeless question: Is he the right one for me? Where tracks like "My Zombie Boyfriend" unleash Emii's angst over falling for the wrong guy. "Stiletto" is a dance track that cranks an undeniable beat about 7" designer heels that boys cannot resist. "I loved writing these songs because of the challenge of translating what I was feeling into the melodies and lyrics" says Emii. Emii started singing as a toddler and, against her parents' wishes, began fronting bands in her early teens. While her friends picked out their prom dresses, Emii perfected her studio recordings. At every stolen moment, she wrote songs and took to the community theater stage like a second home. While in high school she couldn't resist the lure of the big city, shuttling back and forth from Youngstown, Ohio to NYC for auditions and open mic gigs. The dual life came to a halt the day Emii turned 18. She bolted to New York City and never looked back.

Fergie opens up to Elle magazine for their May newsstand cover feature. The issue will be out on newsstands April 14th but they offered us the following tidbits from the feature. On curbing her appetite: "I'm not going to lie: There are times I play mind tricks on myself, like that the french fries are poison. With desserts, I'll let myself have just one bite, but I'll look like a freak when I'm eating it, like when I did Duncan Hines commercials as a kid, just savoring every morsel." On criticism from gossipmongers: "It has hurt me in the past when people say things like how 'fugly' I am or how horrible I look. I've had to learn not to give it such a high priority in life
. Look, when you're trying to juggle all of this in your life, sometimes you're not going to look perfect. I don't have time to get a facial every couple of days." On her relationship style: "I'm a relationship girl, a romantic. When I was younger, I used to be the cheater. I'm not talking about going all the wayI wasn't doing that in high school! But I'd have boyfriends, and then spring break would come around and I'd be a little bit naughty."

The Slants are gearing up to release their new full-length, "Pageantry," which is the third release by the dance-rock outfit and the follow up to their debut album, "Slanted Eyes, Slanted Hearts." [Release date not provided] The harder-hitting, guitar-fueled album is a slight deviation from their synthesizer-driven earlier work and the majority of the songs were written in the small gaps between their endless touring schedule of rock clubs and anime conventions. Often known as one of the only, if not only, all-Asian dance rock bands in the country, The Slants' catchy hooks, meaningful lyrics that resonate with all outsiders, and dance beats are at the epicenter of the band's appeal. Unlike its predecessor, "Pageantry" had more time to completely develop the songs that better represented the band. Tyler Chen (drums), the newest member of the band says that "The new album is more rock n' roll and more organic, with less reliance on electronic elements...the songwriting has matured a lot since the first record."
