The show in Sacramento was only 80 miles
away from San Francisco and probably 80 degrees hotter, I hate the Interstate
5, f*** was it hot! We played at 3:00 PM because Ozzy cancelled cause he
strained his vocal chords at the LA show, so everybody got bumped back
30 minutes from their regular set times. When we got done playing I ran
into Tommy Sickels of Nothingface and he looked so hammered, one minute
he was talking to me the next he puked all over his shoes and on the pavement,
so of course everybody ran to get there cameras. Some days even the Miller
Lite tent will get to the best of em. See ya in beautiful Seattle, one
of my personal favorites.

Last night, I had a dream that I slept
in the Cradle of Filths bus and I had to sleep in a coffin standing up
with my arms folded like a medieval effigy, weird s***! Ive been going
to shows since I was eleven years old and Ive seen some pretty insane
s***. Like, I saw a fish get floated once, a midget get floated, and then
there was this one time when a guy with one leg holding his fake leg in
one hand was getting floated, all I can remember was watching his converse
high-top bounce around. But Ive never seen a guy in a wheelchair get floated,
but that would be cool to see. I love it! Another memory to share
with people! Our friends in the band Himsa came to hang out, so that was
cool. I havent seen them in a so long, check em out, they are a great
metal band. We headlined the second stage today right under Voivod and
the s*** was so packed. We had to leave right after the show cause we had
a show over 1,000 miles away in Salt Lake City at Xcape the old DV8 with
Shadows Fall and Sworn Enemy. Later that night we watched Easy rider and
geared up for the huge drive ahead of us. See ya in New Mexico.

Ozzfest to me as I've found is a great
opportunity for friendship and inner growth , A sort of traveling camp
for bands .Everyone loves a circus and in its own way this is a bonefide
circus, clowns and all. The last past week there has been more people around
us then probably 20 of our previous shows and what's really cool is that
most of them are very positive and are just looking for a good time .The
shows have been amazing also we can tell that there are plenty of new possible
depswa fans out in the crowd and also plenty of people that have bought
the record and know all the songs which to us is the ultimate compliment
.We are trying to make the best of the opportunity at hand by meeting people
and spreading our type of music around to the newcomers of this beautiful
festival .

The last couple days have been tiring
but raging for depswa. Wednesday, we started our day off with mobs of family
and friends greeting us in the early afternoon just before we took the
stage at around one thirty. The set was phenominal even with the blistering
mid-day sun and the crowd put out an extreme amount of No-Cal energy which
was much anticipated because we know how they throw down. Although
the party backstage started early it was obvious that it would go until
the late hours of the night.
If there is any band on the second stage
that knows how to create an eventful party it's our brothers from Grade
8. Throw in some Depswa and a bit of Motograter and you have a rager!
A complete party package that includes drunken, deranged midget clown tricks
and motorized scooter crashes. Yes, backstage or what the bretheren
of Depswa and Grade 8 refer to as "THE YARD" was out of hand. Good
times.
The next day, after waking in an altered
state of consciousness and sipping a cup of coffee, I stepped out of the
bus onto Fresno ground where we were to play an Ozzfest off date with the
Brothers Tooker and the Grade 8 gang and a couple of local bands.
People lined up early for the show which turned out to be one of the best
small scale shows we have ever played. The fans kick ass and they
use a rock show as an artistic outlet which most bands can and should appreciate.
After the show everyone was in good with the spirits and the drinks flew
until it was time to head for Seattle.
So here we are in Salem, Oregon with a
day off to relax and revitalize for the Ozzfest show in Seattle.
I am going to enjoy my day off but I'm already thinking about the next
show and definitley looking forward to the madness. See you at Ozzfest!
