More Accurate Sales Tracking of Overpriced Song Clips was a top story for this week. Here it is again: (antiMusic) Hip-hop fans apparently don't mind paying full price for clips of songs (a.k.a. ringtones). Now they'll be able to judge which ones are really the most "hip," with a big change to the ringtone sales chart data. AT&T, in addition to providing sales data, will also provide weekly ringback sales results for inclusion in Nielsen RingScan's newest report, ringback tracking, scheduled to debut later this year. - who's the hippest of them all? or rather has fans that like paying full price for only part of a song.
