Pearl Jam is currently embarked on their
first ever tour of Mexico. The released the following statement on their
official website today (July 18th)
Yesterday Pearl Jam participated in a rare
press conference with the Latin American Media during their inaugural Mexico
City visit.
During the one hour press conference, Pearl
Jam discussed their first ever visit to Mexico as a band, U.S. politics
and patriotism, band history and experiences.
"We are so thrilled to finally be playing
Mexico," said Mike McCready of Pearl Jam in anticipation of the shows.
The band also kicked off the first of three
consecutive shows last night at the Mexico City Sports Palace. Bootlegs
of all shows on the tour will include the Mexico City dates and are available
in Goods.
