(Rock Radio) Eric Clapton murdered Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan according to a movie script which the legendary guitarist was relieved to reject.Slowhand says writing his autobiography cleared up many of the misunderstandings caused by drinking and drug-taking in his younger years. But it also saw an end to some outlandish semi-biographical projects, including the bizarre script in which he was responsible for the deaths of Hendrix in 1970 and Vaughan in 1990. "Movie ideas have come up, biographical docudramas or whatever, that are so bizarre. You would laugh." Clapton tells Rolling Stone. "There was one that came in, and the guy was adamant we should go with it. He wanted to make a movie about the fact that in order to be a virtuoso I had to kill all my idols.

Municipal Waste have announced venue changes for 2 dates on their current tour of Latin America. The demand to see the band during their first ever run of Latin America has been so intense that promoters have been forced to find bigger venues that could contain the crazed masses coming to Face The Waste.Municipal Waste have been greatly enjoying their time in Latin America. The shows have been some of the most incredible of the band's career and every moment both on and offstage, has been a memorable one. Frontman, Tony Foresta comments on the great times they've experienced so far on their Latin American tour: "Greetings from Bogotá Columbia! We're about 5 days into our South American tour and it has been a really fun one. We just finished our 2 gigs in Mexico one of which was with Sacred Reich, Cynic and Dying fetus. That was a really fun time and its is always a good to hang with Phil and the rest of the Sacred Reich dudes. Our show last night in Bogotá was really insane. Kids were jumping off of the balcony and scaffolding. I didn't know whether to sing or just watch the insanity unfold. The crowds here have been really cool too. They get really rowdy but are very respectable to each other and the band. So far no one has fallen into our equipment or done anything stupid to mess up our show up. Very very cool audiences. It makes it so much more fun to play when its like that.

The greatest living exponents of reggae music The Wailers, will be continuing their US tour and heading to Redondo Beach, Saturday, March 13 and to Santa Ana, Sunday, March 14 (the tour resumes in April where they'll hit other markets across the US- see dates below). The tour comes hot on the heels of last year's smash-hit "Exodus Tour" that saw the band playing the classic 1977 album in its entirety to sold-out venues in 20 countries across the world. The Wailers will be using the tour to bring more attention to their "I Went Hungry" campaign (www.iwenthungry.org), which donates unused funds from the band's daily hospitality riders, directly to the United Nations' World Food Program. To date, the charity has already fed over 650,000 people since its inception last year.Original member Aston "Familyman" Barrett, a revered innovator joined The Wailers in 1969, quickly becoming singer-songwriter Bob Marley's right-hand man and musical director. On record and on stage, his inimitable style became an essential part of the Wailers' sound. Following Marley's death in 1981, "Fams" took the reins as the band's leader, spearheading performances to adoring crowds the world over, as well as the band's involvement with the fight against global hunger. "For decades The Wailers have been about spreading a positive message to our audience," says Fams. "With the campaign, we want to spread that message beyond the audience – so even if these people can't feel it musically, they will feel it spiritually. I can't think of a better way to give thanks than giving back to the people."

Embryonic Devourment recently posted two brand new tracks from their upcoming full-length, Vivid Enterpretations Of The Void. Check out "Militarized Reptoids" and "Darken Thy Fluids" hereThe follow-up to 2007's critically-acclaimed Fear Of Reality Exceeds Fantasy debut, Vivid Enterpretations Of The Void (label and official street date TBA) is based on the "Reptilian Agenda," a theory researched, written and spoken about extensively by British author/reporter/former pro football player David Icke for well over a decade. "This is basically our whole theme and platform for the new release; the theory that a reptilian race controls our world," elaborates bassist/vocalist Austin Spence. "The reptilians need the menstrual blood of a virgin in order to keep their human form. These are the same gods that the Aztecs and Egyptians weren't allowed to depict. The reptilians go by their name 'Chitauri' which means 'the talkers.' They have been in control of our world and many others for thousands of years. The Aztecs predicted the human harvest for 2012...we'll see what happens, eh?" Adds Spence of the teaser tracks: "The new songs definitely have a heavy reptilian theme and crush our previous releases into the ground. Expect fast grinding drums and enough technicality to rip your face off. This release would be best received by fans of early Cryptopsy, Cephalic Carnage and Spawn Of Possession."

Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Karl Meischen from The Greening tells us about "Don't Have The Time" from their brand new album "The Last Tibetan Midnight". We now turn it over to Karl for the story:"Don't Have The Time" is a song whose title was originally "The Mule." I had *no* idea that Deep Purple had a song also called "The Mule," and on one of their most famous albums I've been told. Hence, the changing of the title many years later when we finally recorded it. It tells a story of two people dancing around the fact that one of them is currently being unfaithful, and likely has for some time. The narrator is the person who is currently being cheated on, and is simply asking his lover "if it's really that hard to stay faithful to me, let alone tell me the truth, why am I wasting my time with you? I don't have the time to be lulled to sleep by your excuses and bad alibis, I'd just as soon wash my hands of you then waste any more." Those aren't the literal lyrics, of course, but during that exchange in each chorus, Nick (Tatro)'s propulsive drumming and Will (Loving)'s two overdriven rhythm guitars really hammer this point home. Originally this song featured a really strange intro in 3/4 time that in the end, simply didn't fit. By the time we were laying down the drums, I had thought of this fat drum fill, reminiscent of the classic fill that kicks off Michael Jackson's "Rock With You" and Nick learned it very quickly before we laid it down. I am very thankful that Will reminded me how clearly I had come to the conclusion to drop the original 3/4 intro, viewing it entirely out of place and jarring. Right before that drum intro was written I was backpedaling and thinking "we SHOULD record that intro" but Will stepped in and talked some sense into me. During the mid "ahhhh" section, we layered a bunch of vocals, two separate drum parts playing off of each other, really visceral AC/DC-esque guitar jabs, the bassline and a low-in-the-mix, ebbing synth. When Will finished the first mix of this song we came to the same conclusion: it was missing something. Enter Will with the chaotic television samples and the midsection went from feeling empty to finally achieving the right buildup of tension we were seeking before that final chorus. And THAT, my friend, is how Loving and Meischen write on each other's songs. Opinions that make the difference. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album
