We all love a good rock feud. Today's comes from our friends at Rock Radio and is between former tourmates Rob Zombie and Ozzy Osbourne: Zombie has slated Ozzy Osbourne for stealing members of his band after drummer Tommy Clufetos left to join the Prince of Darkness' touring outfit – the same leap made seven years ago by bassist Blasko, and nearly made by guitarist John 5 last year.He says the way Ozzy and wife Sharon do business is "kinda rude" – but the upside is it led to the recruitment of Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison. "If my guys want to play with other people that's fine. I don't own them. But there's ways to be respectful and ways to be s***ty – and I feel the way things have done down lately has been pretty s***ty," Zombie tells Artisan News. "Every time I've lost somebody I've got somebody ten times better, so I'm thankful for that."

Godsmack frontman Sully Erna posted a message to fans to announce his new solo album, which he warns is not a rock record. Here is what he had to say: Thanks for your patience on awaiting my new record Avalon, I know it has been a long time coming for all of you. I'm very happy to say that as of Sept. 14, 2010, you will be able to finally get your hands on this amazing record!I truly believe that this is my best work to date. I'm more proud of this record than any other music I have ever recorded. It is so pure and organic, every ounce of my blood, sweat and tears has been poured into this body of work. Without a doubt, I have completely exposed myself in this album. More importantly, it's just a very cool musical journey you go on when you listen through. Although, as I've said before, I must emphasize that THIS IS NOT A ROCK RECORD!!! This is a series of beautifully arranged compositions that I have created over many years. Some compositions are newer, written with the help of my solo band mates. Others have been shelved over time waiting for the right moment to be released. That moment is finally here, and I couldn't be more proud to share it with all of you!

Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Paul Thorn tells us about the title track from his new album "Pimps and Preachers". We now turn it over to Paul for the story:"I grew up as the son of a ''church of god of prophecy'' Pentecostal minister. I went to church every Wednesday night and twice on Sunday. At a very early age I was saved, sanctified, and filled with the holy ghost . The church was my whole world and I was told that anything outside of that world was evil. Me and my sisters were not allowed to go to movie theaters or skating rinks. Whenever we went swimming the boys and girls had to swim separately because the church rightly rationalized that seeing the opposite sex in a bathing suit would cause us to lust in our hearts which was a major sin. Around the age of 12 me and my dad were sitting at our kitchen table when the phone rang. He answered it and immediately had to sit down. It was my long lost uncle Merle. The family had not heard from him in 10 years and we all thought he was probably dead. As it turned out he was alive and well. He told my dad that he had been living out in California and wanted to come home and reconnect with his family. They were all excited to see him return and I was anxious to meet the uncle I had no memory of. When we picked him up at the airport he was unlike anyone I had ever seen. His clothes were very stylish and when he spoke his words sounded like poetry. The cadence of his speech was strangely similar to my father's when he was behind the pulpit but slightly more raw and flamboyant. As time passed by me and my uncle merle became very close and with that closeness he began to tell me about his past life. He informed me that during the time he was away he had made his living as a pimp. He explained to me in graphic detail the ins and outs of the street life. He showed me that there was a broader world out there beyond the small one I had grown up in. He exposed me to what life was like on the wrong side of the tracks by secretly taking me there countless times to experience it for myself. The song ''pimps and preachers is a sincere tribute to my father and my uncle. The time I spent with them has given me a certain set of social and coping skills that have served me well in life. Oh and by the way these self proclaimed ''hip hop pimps'' that you see on television surrounded by bitches and bling bling bare no resemblance to what a real player is. Most of them have no game at all. They are merely wealthy and have zero chops or real ability to get inside a persons mind. If not for their money and fame no decent female would give them the time of day. They would be laughed at for not knowing how to pull their pants up. My dad and my uncle could walk into any room with no money in their pockets and leave out of there with a congregation of believers or a stable full of fresh turn out." Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album

Emperor Magus Caligula has issued a statement announcing that he is parting ways with Dark Funeral, while the band has announced their search for a new frontman. We start with Caligula's statement: "I would like to inform all of our fans that on Saturday, August 21, at the Summer Breeze festival in Germany, I will be doing my last show with the band. Naturally I have mixed feelings about this decision, but it is final! They say that every person will have about 15 minutes of fame during their life. Well, I have had a hell-of-a-ride for 15 years now together with Lord Ahriman and Dark Funeral. As some people love to spread weird rumors about others, let me make this clear once and for all. I have not committed suicide, I have not taken an overdose, nor are there any personal issues between me and Dark Funeral. However, my life has taken a new turn lately, and I am also getting married this year, thus my priorities in life lie somewhere else.I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our fans for their amazing support during all the 15 years I've been with the band. And I would also like to thank my brothers in Dark Funeral for all these years together. Lord Ahriman and I have managed to raise Dark Funeral from the deepest abyss, when we have confronted problems before. And there is no doubt in my mind, that Dark Funeral, without me, will raise once more, stronger than ever... Thus I have spoken, thus shalt it be...... -- Horns up, Masse Broberg A.K.A Emperor Magus Caligula"

It was the album of 1981 for high school kids across America. Not only was it the biggest selling rock album of the year, but it also charted six singles on the Billboard charts, including "Take It on the Run" and prom favorite, "Keep on Loving You." It was, of course, Hi Infidelity, the highest-selling album by Champaign, Illinois' REO Speedwagon. And its success came at the perfect time for the band. As singer Kevin Cronin told Billboard, the album came at a time when the band was "literally on the brink of being dropped by our label. This was kind of our last chance." But of course, it was a success, eventually being certified nine-times platinum. "This is 2010, so we're kind of celebrating 30 years since we recorded the album," Cronin continued. "Next year is 2011 -- 30 years since 1981, the year that rocked our world... The Hi Infidelity record was such a turning point for us, just on a personal and professional level. And an awful lot of people took this music into their lives, into their hearts. It's just too special of a time to ignore, so I just decided for this anniversary I'm going to embrace it and go for it... We're milking it for everything it's worth!"

Triptykon will be making their North American debut on the Weltenbrand Tour 2010 which also will feature 1349 and Yakuza. Tom Gabriel Warrior (vocals, guitars) describes his emotions on the eve of this new undertaking: "Ever since my earliest days in Hellhammer and Celtic Frost, I have been extremely fortunate to be able to count on the support, fanaticism, and immense loyalty of the North American metal scene. The recognition my work has received there eclipses anything I have ever encountered in my own native country. Of the 125 concerts performed on the final Celtic Frost tour in 2006 and 2007, for example, a full 71 were played in North America. Some of these performances rank among the most memorable ones in my entire career." "It is thus an immense honor for me to now bring my new group Triptykon to North America for the first time. Triptykon is further pursuing the path I once began with Hellhammer and Celtic Frost, and I am looking forward to continuing to forge this darkest of musical alliances with all of you. We shall all celebrate masses of unleashed heaviness and morbidity. Only death is real!"
