Neuraxis Begin Work On New Album, Map Out Mini Tour

Montreal-based death metal outfit, Neuraxis, has started to write the follow up to "The Thin Line Between." These are the first tracks with new members, drummer Olivier Beaudoin and bassist Olivier Pinard.

Vocalist Alex Leblanc commented on the writing process; "It's going extremely well. We are working on three new songs right now, one of which is already finished. The chemistry with the new guys is awesome. They really bring tons of energy to the band. Both of them are bringing fresh ideas to the mix and are really creative.

The Undeserving With Warner Bros

Rock newcomers The Undeserving have signed a recording deal with Warner Bros Records, which will release their debut album in 2010. The Ohio band's first single, the impassioned, uplifting "Something to Hope For" was featured throughout a promo campaign for season nine of American Idol that ran over the holidays on FOX.

"Something to Hope For" can also be heard in the upcoming season premiere of the CW network's One Tree Hill on Monday, January 18th. The song is now available for purchase exclusively on iTunes.

The Undeserving is comprised of brothers Clay and Kyle Kirchenbauer (vocals/piano and drums, respectively) and well as Brennan Willis (guitar) and Jimmie Getty (bass). All four grew up in a tiny town outside Toledo, OH where the cultural hub was the local Walmart. Nachtmystium Working On New Album, Announce Tour With Kreator

Few bands today embrace their own individualism to ultimately craft something truly unique and genre defying regardless of its sales potential. Enter the Chicago-based Nachtmystium who embrace the true spirit of individuality and intolerance forming solely as an outlet to express the dark musical visions and summonings of those involved.

This vicious, uncompromising group, led by mastermind Blake Judd are currently recording with Sanford Parker (Minsk) at Volume Studios. They have also enlisted the talents of Wrest (Leviathan, Lurker of Chalice, Twilight) to record all drum tracks, as well as Will Lindsay (Wolves in the Throne Room, Middian) on bass for the much anticipated Assassins Part II, which was hailed by Decibel Magazine as "One of the 25 most anticipated albums of 2010."

The Swellers, Motion City Soundtrack, Set Your Goals and This Providence Tour

The Swellers return to the road once again in just a couple weeks. The Flint, MI-based quartet will join Motion City Soundtrack to kick off their new tour on January 23 in Minneapolis at First Avenue. Set Your Goals and Fueled By Ramen labelmates This Providence will also join the tour.

In addition, The Swellers have announced they will be part of this summer's Warped Tour. The band will join the tour for nearly a month, when it kicks off on June 24 in San Diego, CA at the Cricket Amphitheatre (see below for itinerary).

The Swellers will also head to Europe for a handful of tour dates this spring, including the Give It A Name Festival in Munich, Milan, and Vienna, as well as the Groezrock Festival in Belgium. The band most recently toured with friends Paramore and Less Than Jake. - more on this story

Karnivool Set US Release

Four years since their last album in their homeland of Australia, Sound Awake debuted at #2 on the national ARIA albums chart, eclipsed only by global mega-brand the Black Eyed Peas. KARNIVOOL are ecstatic to announce their spring co-headlining tour of the U.S. with Fair To Midland beginning in March of 2010. This will be the Australian quintet's first full jaunt across the States in three years. The trek will begin at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX March 16-21, where the band were accepted in the first round of showcasing artists and have already confirmed four performances. All venues are not yet confirmed, but after starting in the south and heading up the east coast to NYC, Philly and Boston, the VOOL will then head west through Cleveland, Minneapolis and Denver before wrapping up in San Francisco and LA. - more on this story

Redemption Announce Rare Headline Dates

Los Angeles prog metal outfit Redemption will be performing two headlining shows in February 2010 in support of their recently-released fourth CD, Snowfall on Judgment Day, on Inside Out Music.

Multi-instrumentalist / songwriter Nick van Dyk commented on the headlining shows "We are very excited to get out and perform for our fans again, and look forward to the debut live performances of music from Snowfall on Judgment Day.
