We learned something interesting today. Apparently Poison broke up. At least that's what the Associated Press said when they called Bret Michaels the former singer for Poison. He might as well be as much time as he spends in reality shows these days. He latest venture into celeb retardity is Celebrity Apprentice where he'll square off against Sharon Osbourne, Cyndi Lauper, Sinbad, some TV chef named Curtis Stone, baseball great Darryl Strawberry, political scumbag Rod Blagojevich, wrestler Goldberg, Olympic gold-medal sprinter Michael Johnson, someone named Holly Robinson Peete, Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders, WWE wrestler-model Maria Kanellis, comedian-author Carol Leifer and Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks, according to AP. Bret Michaels declared that he would be assessed as the season's "super-underdog." "But I've been my own boss since I've been 19 years old," said the 46-year-old former star of the "Rock of Love" reality show. "For better or worse, I've been on my own, I've learned to roll with the punches." Celebrity Apprentice Season 3 premiers Sunday, March 14th at 9pm with a special two-hour episode on NBC.

Twitter is great at getting the word out, but it also sucks with providing details. Take Mark Hoppus of Blink-182's latest post: 10HrsatTM today: played some guitar & keyboard. @holmeswashere is mixing another one of our projects. Me and PeteW's collab soon. Red Hot Chili Peppers have reportedly found a new axeman to replace the departed John Frusciante, Australian music site Undercover reports that Josh Klinghoffer is the new member and will make his debut with the band when they perform Jan. 29 at MusiCares. more Evergreen Terrace ask fans "Please come out January 16th to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. This won't be just another show, it will be a memory for all of us and you as well. Evergreen Terrace 10 Year Anniversary Show - Saturday, January 16th at Jack Rabbits in Jacksonville, FL - More details here Some one decided to actually ask a member of Led Zeppelin about the latest reunion rumors. Nightwatcher had this report: Jimmy Page is planning to work on new music in 2010, but despite making it clear he'd welcome a Led Zeppelin reunion, he refuses to carry the band's moniker without Plant's involvement. He says, "You'd better ask Robert Plant what the future of Led Zeppelin is. Musicians can always play together but I don't think you can go out with a band called Led Zeppelin if you haven't got the original vocalist." more Wilco, the celebrated Chicago-based roots-rock band whose latest album is nominated for a Grammy award, announced Monday a 16-date East Coast tour kicking off March 22. more Fran Healy is best known as the frontman for the Scottish rock band Travis. But when you do things like he just did for his forthcoming debut solo debut, Fran Healy may soon be best known as Fran Healy, the solo musician. The new outing actually features a guest spot from Paul McCartney! more Roger Friedman had this report about the Crock Hall of Lame: you might call Jann Wenner the "desperate despot" of rock. Apparently the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction rules are under scrutiny and Jann may bump up the eligibility to just 20 years so they can induct some bigger names (and perhaps sell more tickets?). Of course, inducting some of the bands that are currently qualified and sell plenty of tickets in arenas world wide but have been snubbed by the crock hall so far might be a better idea. Read Friedman's report here. Former Remy Zero drummer Gregory Slay passed away on New Year's Day, reports Spinner. Slay had battled cystic fybrosis his entire life. more Within The Ruins will hit the road next month with And Hell Followed With for a brief tour. more Radiohead's Thom Yorke has written three songs for an upcoming documentary about the Free Tibet movement. Chevelle are ringing in the New Year with some more new tour dates. These new dates join their previously announced North American outing. Provided they do not add more dates, right now it looks like the fun will kick off on February 4th in Erie, Pennsylvania and wrap up on February 27th in Grand Island, Nebraska. But who knows maybe more dates are on the way? Support on the first three dates will come from Three Days Grace and Flyleaf. No word yet on who will open the rest of the dates.

Last week tragedy hit Avenged Sevenfold when drummer Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan was found dead in his Huntington Beach on the afternoon of December 28th. A cause of death for the 28-year-old rocker is still not known as the autopsy results were inconclusive. The coroner's office ordered toxicology, microscopic and laboratory tests to help determine why Sullivan died. It may be weeks before a cause of death is known. On Monday the band posted a message from Jimmy's family thanking fans for their support. Here is what they had to say: We would like to thank all of Jimmy's fans for the heartfelt comments that have been posted it is comforting to know that his genius and antics were appreciated and that he was loved so much. Before anyone complains, that headline was our way of poking a little fun at the Andrew W.K. conspiracy theory. Last week was an extremely slow news week due to the holidays, so a story about Andrew W.K. being a record company creation, and a "Bewitched" like lead actor switched without telling anyone, got a lot of coverage. Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? Not really, as long as we can still party! Then again, a cynic may suspect that this new controversy was a deliberate creation as well. If that's the case, it is working. That being said, we were sent the following today addressing the semi-controversy: Andrew W.K. spoke to ongoing allegations that he is either part of a conspiracy or a victim of a huge spider's web of corporate entertainment plots. In an unedited personal statement, Andrew has stated the following in response to the claims made against him: "Since 2001, I have been accused of being part of a conspiracy in which I knowingly entered into a contract with creative directors called Steev Mike, who proceeded to invent a new identity for me to perform under. I'm here to say this is simply not true and a gross exaggeration of easily explainable and common-place music industry practices. Of course I work with people who choose not to include their whole names or real names in the credits, or who aren't on stage with me during my shows - but taking advice and guidance from other people doesn't mean I'm a victim of mind-control. That's like science fiction! Andrew W.K. is about partying and doing what you want! We want fun, and that really is what I am about. These lies have unfortunately been with me since my career started - critics were saying I had to be a fake puppet for the record industry because I appeared over night. These simple untrue allegations have grown over the years to the point now where I have to defend myself. I have done many interviews and talks where I have explained the nature of how I got into music, and I admitted that I did work with people. But people have still taken what I said and tried to call me a liar and a fake. What alarms me most about these accusations is that they remind me of witch trials: The kind of people who accuse me of being a talking head for some secret conspiracy to corrupt people's morals are the same people who claim MTV and Cartoon Network are owned by secret rulers of the world out to poison kid's brains, or that pop stars like Beyonce or Lady Gaga are part of some occult society, or that companies like McDonald's, Coca-Cola, or Hollywood are secretly promoting hidden plans. Or that the President of the USA is just a figure head and reading a script given to him by a secret world power. Come on!

Blestenation has released their video for the track "Blackout" featuring Blink 182's Travis Barker online. The track will be featured on Blestenation's debut album "Mbugout City", which hits stores on February 23rd, 2010 through Suburban Noize Records. "'Blackout' is one of my favorite songs on the album. My man Lonnie and I were in the studio together for about fifteen minutes and came up with the track, then he laid down the hook. Later on some of our people sent it to Travis Barker who had been a big fan of our 'FAM3 mixtape'. He laid down live drums and sent me the files and we worked it in to the song. He was real cool about it," commented FAFU from Blestenation. "The song is about waking up after a night of debauchery and not really remembering what had happened or how you ended up where you ended up. It's something a lot of us can relate to." Blestenation have been destroying the world of underground hip-hop on tour with the likes of Bone Thugs -N- Harmony, Scarface, Killah Priest, and the Warped Tour. The group was previously signed to Geffen Records, but their reckless behavior got them kicked off of the Warped Tour, into fist fights inside the Sony Music offices, and booted out of the Teen Choice Awards after an altercation with American Idol's Ryan Seacrest. [Our heroes!]
