Sometimes rumors turn out to be true. Roger Waters will resurrect Pink Floyd's classic The Wall on tour later this year. Here is the official announcement, dates and comments from Waters on why he decided to undertake this tour: Roger Waters, co-founder and principal songwriter of the archetypal progressive band Pink Floyd, is commemorating the 30th anniversary of the original release of The Wall with a monumental tour featuring a full band and a newly-mounted state-of-the-art production of his epochal masterpiece of alienation and transformation performed in its entirety. The Wall has been previously performed live in its entirety by Waters just 31 times including Pink Floyd's 1980-81 tour in support of the album. A spectacular Roger Waters solo staging and performance of the rock opera in July 1990, celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall, drew nearly a half million fans to the Potsdamer Platz. Roger Waters' The Wall North American Tour, produced by Live Nation, will open September 15 in Toronto and runs through December 13 at the Anaheim Honda Center (please see full itinerary following). Waters posted the following on his website to explain why he decided to tour this tour: I recently came across this quote of mine from 22 years ago: " What it comes down to for me is this: Will the technologies of communication in our culture, serve to enlighten us and help us to understand one another better, or will they deceive us and keep us apart?"

Warner Bros Records artists Taking Back Sunday have begun work on their fifth studio album. The acclaimed New York rock band has reformed, returning to the original line-up from their 2002 debut Tell All Your Friends, which has sold over one million records worldwide, spawned breakthrough anthem "Cute Without the 'E' (Cut from the Team)" and launched the band as one of the most influential of its generation.Vocalist Adam Lazzara, guitarist Eddie Reyes and drummer Mark O'Connell have reunited with vocalist/guitarist John Nolan and bass player Shaun Cooper, who departed in 2003 after the release of Tell All Your Friends. "This crazy idea came up and once we started exploring it and talking on the phone it was almost like all that time hadn't passed between us," explains Lazzara. "Given the history and the years that had passed, I don't think any of us really knew if hanging out again let alone writing and playing together would actually work. For it to feel so comfortable and effortless so quickly made us realize that we had to give it a chance." Nolan describes his thoughts in a similar way. "I never would have imagined that this group of people reuniting would be possible. Since we parted ways we all went down very different paths and somehow everything we've experienced individually over the past seven years has brought us back to a point of genuine appreciation and love for each other as people and musicians. There's a shared excitement and enthusiasm within this group that I haven't experienced since the early days of the band."

Her covers of two of rock's greatest songs, "Stairway To Heaven" and "Whole Lotta Love," will be available in the U.S. digitally on April 13 on iTunes. Blige will perform "Stairway To Heaven" along with "Each Tear," from her latest album Stronger WithEach Tear (Matriarch/Geffen), the same day on Oprah.Blige crossed genres in 2005 with her successful mash-up of "One" with U2 and earlier this year with Andrea Bocelli for a recording and live Grammy performance of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Blige says, "There's a group of fans out there that because of 'One' will appreciate my version of 'Stairway To Heaven'." In fact, at a private dinner party for Mary, U2's Bono was asked his thoughts about Mary remaking the famous song. Joining Blige on the recordings is a stellar ensemble -- Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, rock guitar icon Steve Vai, Michael Jackson's former touring guitarist Orianthi, and bassist/"American Idol" judge Randy Jackson. Keyboardist and Geffen Records Chairman Ron Fair produced the nearly nine-minute "Stairway To Heaven" and co-produced "Whole Lotta Love" with RedOne, the Grammy award-winning producer who created multiple #1 hits for Lady Gaga. In 1966, Otis Redding had emerged not only as the star of Stax Records but as one of nation's most influential soul singers. With his version of "Satisfaction" climbing the charts in April 1966, Redding arrived in Los Angeles to play both the Hollywood Bowl (as part of a KHJ-AM listener appreciation concert that also featured Donovan, Sonny & Cher and the Mamas & the Papas) and a four-nighter at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip. According to Taj Mahal, whose '60s band the Rising Sons opened the Whisky shows, "At that time, Otis was it." Live on the Sunset Strip, slated for May 18, 2010 release on Stax Records through Concord Music Group, captures Redding in the white heat of transition, when his star power was undeniable and it was still possible to catch him backed by his own road band in the tight quarters of a smoky nightclub. The 2-CD set features three full live sets that have never been previously available in their entirety. A definitive live statement from Redding, the songs are sequenced exactly as they went down, complete with an emcee and spoken introductions by Redding. The booklet features rare photographs as well as extensive liner notes by Ashley Kahn, author of music biographies and a contributor to NPR's Morning Edition. Live on the Sunset Strip highlights versions of Redding's best-known songs: "I've Been Loving You Too Long," "Security," "I Can't Turn You Loose," "Satisfaction," "Respect," "These Arms of Mine" and "Just One More Day," to name a few.

Both screenings will take place at the Edwards Island Theater at Fashion Island."We Were Feared" chronicles the meteoric rise and fall of Orange County's landmark Cuckoo's Nest, the famed SoCal Punk Rock Club that became the birthplace of slam dancing and inspired the surf, skate and extreme sports culture of today. During the late 1970s, The Nest, as it was known, played host or was home to almost every influential and soon-to-be famous punk band – including Black Flag, The Ramones, Iggy Pop, TSOL, The Dead Kennedy's, The Circle Jerks, Fear and The Vandals…whose song, 'The Legend of Pat Brown' chronicles one of the more famous incidents at The Nest. It all began when Cuckoo's Nest owner Jerry Roach, who was struggling to make ends meet, on a long shot turned his bar into a nightclub venue for punk rock enthusiasts. After developing a huge following, angry residents and politicians forced its closure, culminating in a standoff that drew national media attention by none other than Connie Chung. First explored in a short documentary, 'Urban Struggle,' the saga of The Nest and its owner Jerry Roach is one of the great untold stories of punk rock…until now.

Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today acclaimed up and coming blues-rock master Scott McKeon tells us about the title track from his brand new album "Trouble". We now turn it over to Scott for the story:Trouble is the title track of the album. I really wanted to try and capture a Beatles-esque feel to the drums and bass and a lot of those tom fills are very Ringo inspired. In the bridge, at the end of the solo, that was definitely a nod to The Beatles too, with the little keys part in the background. Lyrically speaking, it was really born out of the frustration of being used by someone and being let down....whether that be a friend, a girlfriend or whoever. It's about standing up for yourself and not settling on being the victim. Not that I had thought about it in too much of a planned way, but I always wanted to write a pop song with a big chorus that also had a big guitar solo too. Something you could hear on the radio without it being cheesy or selling out. I'm really happy with how the song came out. It set a tone for the album and the message of the song is something I connect with each time I play it. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album
