Stevie Nicks Announces Separate CD and DVD Releases
PR reports: Stevie Nicks will be releasing the "Live In Chicago" DVD as well as "The Soundstage Sessions" CD - both in stores on March 31st, it was announced today by Reprise Records.

The "Live in Chicago" DVD includes all the timeless Nicks songs from her solo projects as well as songs written as a member of the legendary rockers Fleetwood Mac. Along with Stevie classics such as "Stand Back," "Rhiannon," "Dreams," "Gold Dust Woman," "Landslide" and "Edge of Seventeen," the DVD also features stunning cover songs, including Dave Matthews' "Crash Into Me" and a tear-down-the-house finale of Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll."

"This is the first time since 1985 that I have had one of my live shows filmed and recorded," said Nicks. "We spent three years perfecting this show which we began in Vegas in October of 2007. I could not move on until we filmed this show. Luckily "Soundstage" producer Joe Thomas, who saw the show many times, felt the same way. I am as proud of this as anything I've ever done in my entire career." - more on this story

Steve Albini Helmed Mono Album Set For Release
PR reports: Japanese experimental icons MONO are set to release Hymn To The Immortal Wind, their fifth and most expansive album to date. Due March 24 via Temporary Residence, the album finds the band effortlessly soaring through melodies both sincere in approach and grandiose in scale, all with the aid of a full 28-piece chamber orchestra.

Their first release since 2006's landmark You Are There, MONO finds themselves raising the stakes yet again, steering their unmistakable cascade of sound into a dense world of strings, flute, organ, piano, tympani and more.

Recorded and mixed by Steve Albini in June and November 2008 at his Electrical Audio Recording studio in Chicago, IL, the resulting seven songs will be delivered on the brink of MONO's 10th anniversary as a group. To celebrate, the four-piece are planning two very special performances in New York City. Welcoming another twenty-three pieces to their arsenal, the band will be backed by the Wordless Music Orchestra for a celebration of their past accomplishments and the newly minted beast that is Hymn to the Immortal Wind. - more on this story

Newmore Switch Blades Tour
PR reports: It might be freezing across most of the country, but for Totally Michael there's no better time to conjure up a summertime dance party. The one-man dynamo is teaming up with The Death Set, Team Robespierre, Ninjasonik and Cerebral Ballzy, to spread his feel-good anthems and songs about simpler times. The Newmore Switch Blades Tour will kick off tonight, March 12 at The Shank in Brooklyn, veer south to SXSW and conclude in Philadelphia.

Dubbed the "indie party circuit's naughty little boy" by Big Shot and described by Alternative Press as melding "electronic sequences with pop-punk sensibilities," Totally Michael has been heating up rock clubs and house parties alike with his sweat-filled, participatory shows. This jaunt is just one of many for Michael who has been touring relentlessly, from Alabama to Australia, in support of his self-titled debut, which was released last fall on IHEARTCOMIX (Matt & Kim, Futurecop) and slated for re-release April 28 to take advantage of the label's newly signed distribution deal with RED. - more on this story
