antiMusic reports: Earshot is back! The modern rockers return with their latest major label effort "The Silver Lining" and frontman Wil Martin will be us all week to tell us a little about his favorite tracks from the CD but first he gives us a brief intro: "'The Silver Lining' as a whole is an album I'm very close to mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and I love every song. However, there are songs that I seem to always go back to, over and over again that I can't seem to get enough of." Now Wil tells us about today's song: On top of being a REALLY heavy song sonically, what's cool about "Wasted" is its not just about being wasted, but its also some of the thoughts and feelings I had that came out of me being
. wasted. Everyone's been there before. Drink a little, smoke a little, and it all comes out. It's like a truth serum. "Wasted" is definitely a definitive moment captured in time lyrically and I love turning it up loud and playing it live every time. You can learn more about the band, grab tour dates, and listen to songs from "The Silver Lining"

Blabbermouth reports: Metallica have just premiered the video for their single "The Day That Never Comes" on their MySpace page. The epic clip was directed by Danish director Thomas Vinterberg and filmed this past July in southern California. On working with the acclaimed filmmaker, Hetfield explained to MTV.com, "That's the beauty, I think, of writing vague but powerful lyrics that someone like a movie director can interpret it in his own way and obviously, someone creative is able to take the metaphors and apply them to whatever he needs in his own life." Go Watch The Video The band have also just unveiled another song from their upcoming album Death Magnetic. The hard-charging track, "Cyanide" is now available for sale on iTunes. The leak: Seems some diehard fans got their hands on the album early and it's all good with Lars. Blabbermouth has a little on that: Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has commented on the premature release of the band's new album, "Death Magnetic", via a French record store. A shop in Paris reportedly sold a number of copies of the CD this morning well ahead of its official September 12 worldwide release date with illegal "Death Magnetic" MP3 files making their way online by this afternoon. During a guest appearance earlier today on "The Woody Show" on the San Francisco, California radio station Live 105 (KITS 105.3 FM), Ulrich stated about the French leak, "Listen, we're ten days from release. I mean, from here, we're golden. If this thing leaks all over the world today or tomorrow, happy days. Happy days. Trust me. Ten days out and it hasn't quote-unquote fallen off the truck yet? Everybody's happy. It's 2008 and it's part of how it is these days, so it's fine. We're happy."

The charity was formed to honor the last wishes of founding BLACKHAWK member Van Stephenson after he lost his battle with Melanoma Cancer in 2001. For the last few years, BlackHawk has raised money in various ways, including several Vsmcrf Dinner & Auctions, where the fans are invited to have dinner with the band members before a concert and bid on special band auction items. Members of all three bands will be attending the dinner in Spokane and are donating band memorabilia for the auction. According to Henry Paul, "This year, Van's charity was dealt a small setback. With Dave Robbins departure from the band, a significant effort was put into reforming the group so that Blackhawk could go forward. This pushed our charity effort back a spot, but with the group back in full swing an ALL OUT effort is being waged this fall to reach our annual goal.
