Bad Brains Go to Washington

09/03/2008
.
(antiMusic) Do we need to spell out that D.C. is filled to the brim with bad brains? Now the punk band of the same name are returning to their hometown to perform for the first time in 20 years since they was banned there.

Here is the official PR announcement: Bad Brains' history with hometown Washington D.C. has been well documented. In 2008, the band returns to their hometown after many years away from Washington D.C. for a historic Election Night show at the 9:30 Club.

The first proper Bad Brains studio album in over a decade, Build A Nation, was released to critical acclaim on Megaforce/Oscilloscope Records. The album features all the original members of the group: HR, Darryl Jenifer, Dr. Know and Earl Hudson.

The Bad Brains announce the following shows with all four original members:

September 2 - House Of Blues, Chicago IL (Presented by Converse: N.E.R.D.and Bad Brains)
November 4 - Washington DC
November 6 - Irving Plaza, NYC
November 9 - Waterloo Park, Austin TX
