antiMusic reports: From A Second Story Window have confirmed rumors of their demise after a six year run. Here is what they had to say: The past several years for us as From A Second Story Window have been quite a roller coaster ride. We have watched trends come and go, looked on as people grew in and out of an ever undulating "scene", and had the chance to watch something we love, our music, grow into an expression we can all truly be proud of.However, the life in a band is much like those very roads we travel down on every tour; hills leading up, followed by valley's dipping downward towards vast, level planes where things begin to feel stagnant and a bit too calm. Then around every corner is a new fad or statement that you can either grow with or simply step aside and let it be what it is, knowing that you are no longer connected at all anymore. For us, with this changing musical market and its inhabitants, it is simply our time to step aside and let the flow continue on without us. It is time for us to venture down new avenues of creativity and to find new things to enrich our lives fully. From A Second Story Window was something that gave us all hope and pride in our small part of the musical world, but with economical woe's pulling us down, and changes in attitude towards the entire movement of "heavy" music, it just seems right to call it quits and move on in our own ways.

PR reports: Nearly 40 years after UK classic rock legends Wishbone Ash played their first gig, the band still logs thousands of miles playing 150 to 200 shows a year across two continents. Road-tested rockers Andy Powell and Muddy Manninen on guitars, Bob Skeat on bass and Joe Crabtree on drums deliver the goods consistently, straight up: the "real deal" in every way.The Real Deal Tour takes Wishbone Ash on an eight-month musical journey through the UK and the USA, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Scandinavia and Switzerland. Along the way, the band will hold fan conventions in Port St. Lucie, Florida, USA; and Chesterfield, UK. [no dates were provided by the publicist] Wishbone Ash's twin-lead guitar style, which combines melody and mastery, is the band's calling card. Their distinctive sound has influenced the likes of Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and a host of young bands.

Then there are shows where when it's over and you are lying on the ground with blood pouring from your head there is a smile spread from ear to bludgeoned ear. You pick yourself up and walk out ten feet tall and bulletproof. That is metal at its best. (5 stars)
