PR reports: Atco Records, an imprint of Rhino Entertainment, announces the May 13 release of JUST ME, the first new studio album from R&B legend Keith Sweat since his 2002 Rebirth set. The original "new jack" hitmaker, who celebrated 20 years as a chart artist at the end of 2007, produced and cowrote most of the material on his latest project which features guest artists Keyshia Cole, and Athena Cage (Keith's duet partner on the million-selling 1996 hit "Nobody"). The Harlem-born singer/songwriter and producer says he called his new album JUST ME "because I'm giving the people what they expect from me. You hear other artists out here who make the mistake of trying to be trendy. They really try to keep up. I know people want to hear Keith Sweat. I'm conscious of the people who have followed me the whole time, since day one. I remember that I have a fan base and I'm very careful to give the people what they expect from me."

antiMusic reports: Imagine you are a member of a band that once flew high and sold millions of albums, but is now considered by most people to be a punch line to jokes. How do you make a living in that situation? Start another band? Most do. Do studio work? Another option taken by many. Hang it up and try something else? That's been known to happen to. How about going to your few remaining fans and offer them private drum lessons at $200 dollars a pop? That's the option John Otto from Limp Bizkit has gone with. We can understand paying that much for lessons from someone like Neil Peart, but John Otto? But what we really want to know is: if a hot woman wants instructions, will he do it all for the nookie? Ok, on with the details courtesy of Blabbermouth: Limp Bizkit/The Killer And The Star drummer John Otto has decided to share expertise with the world by offering private lessons. All beginner lessons are one instructor to 1-2 students per lessons. Students are carefully matched according to age, skill level, and musical goals. Pairings will be evaluated and regrouped monthly to provide the best learning situation. Lessons range in price from $150 (beginner lessons with John Otto, 1-2 students per lesson) to $200 (private lessons one-on-one with John Otto).

antiMusic reports: Snoop's a friendly guy and he'll go into the studio with just about anyone (aside from Bloods). Don't believe us? Guess who Mr. Dogg is working with now? Lindsey Lohan. At least that is what some reports are claiming. You see Lindsey needed some "cred" for her third album, since the last two were pretty much panned by everyone in the universe, including aliens from the planet Celebutard who usually eat up anything tabloid superstars toss out. So Lohan has reportedly called upon a string of acclaimed urban producers to help her with the album. Snoop is the latest knob-twister rumored to be helping Lindsey in the studio. Other producers reportedly linked to this future "album of the year" include Timbaland and Pharrell Williams.

antiMusic reports: To say that the Hendrix estate is unhappy about the new supposed Jimi Hendrix sex tape would be a bit of an understatement. The estate, which is run by members of Jimi's family through Experience Hendrix LLC, have spoke out against the new tape being distributed by Vivid Entertainment. "We, Experience Hendrix, the family company of Jimi Hendrix are aware of the release of the adult videotape which alleges to contain illicit footage of Jimi Hendrix. We strongly dispute the claimed authenticity and affirmatively state that Experience Hendrix is neither involved in, nor have we authorized the distribution of this film. Further, we deplore this unsubstantiated exploitation of Jimi Hendrix. "We view the release as nothing more than a callous attempt to trade on the image and reputation of a deceased artist who is unable to defend himself against such an outrageous and baseless assertion. We are highly offended by the disgraceful portrayal.

ASCAP just wants to get paid. Of course, if the online companies stop previewing the music, ASCAP members won't earn royalties on the extra sales generated by the previews. Great lose lose! Here is the AP story: Time Warner Inc's AOL unit, RealNetworks and Yahoo Inc could stand to pay up to $100 million in royalties owed to thousands of songwriters and publishers, after a federal judge established a formula for determining the payments.
