"The Readiness & Family Support Organization works hard with our Military Force Members families to give the men & women a bit of home while they are serving our country abroad. I've been over to Afghanistan and Kuwait and know first hand how much it means to the troops when someone takes the time to come to visit, send letters and emails and show support for them. They pay for our freedom everyday and we need to show them all how grateful we are. Please come out and join me and my friends in Pelham, AL on August 2nd for a summer time ride," says Bo Bice.

Nettwerk reports: Old Crow Medicine Show is gearing up to go out on the road again in support of they're NEW Album "Tennessee Pusher," available everywhere Sep. 23rd!Tennessee Pusher, produced by Don Was (Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt), features 13 infectious tracks that offer a virtual American road trip, populated with characters that seem to span a century of the South. Down and outers, hustlers, freighthoppers - these are just a few of the archetypes we meet along the way. OCMS continues to create their special blend of American roots, rock, blues and country, but on Tennessee Pusher, the band has truly found their own voice. With the exception of "Always Lift Him Up" by Blind Alfred Reed, all of the tracks on the album are OCMS originals. Also noteworthy are two distinguished session musicians that joined the band in the studio: Jim Keltner (John Lennon, Neil Young, Brian Wilson) on drums and Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) on Hammond C-3 organ.

antiMusic reports: We continue our inside track special today with up and coming indie artist Zak Smith. His music stands out in today's emo infested bog for it's honesty. Far more a child of the late 60s musical sensibility meets early 70s southern rock with a little modern rock tossed in for good measure, his evocative guitars and soulful vocals remind us that there are plenty of great artists still left out there; you just have to look for them and very few will be found on major labels. Today Zak walks us through the tracks on his new CD "Traitor's Way". Minstrel Show- Yes, yes, there shalt be a reckoning. There's more violence and sex in records Muddy Waters made 60 years ago then there is in a 50 Cent or Lil Wayne record. It may sound like sex and violence but it's really what a board meeting of a bunch of record executive's sounds like. And there's nothing more sickening to listen to, or that I hate more, then that. Hollywood- This song is about wanting to be famous or about wanting to be with a girl. It's half joking and half serious. Some of the lyrics are silly, but when you really want to be famous or you really want to be with a girl, to someone on the outside sometimes what you say can sound funny.
