Batman Arrested For Assaulting Mother and Sister?

TMZ reports: The Dark Knight just got a whole lot darker. British police sources [tell] TMZ that Christian Bale has been arrested and is still being grilled on allegations of assaulting his mom and sister Sunday, the night before the London premiere of "The Dark Knight."

The official word from Scotland Yard is that "a 34-year-old male" was taken into custody "in the late morning today" in a police precinct in Central London. (Bale is 34.)

[in a follow up report from TMZ] Sources directly connected to the Christian Bale case tell TMZ there was physical contact between Christian and his mom, but it amounted to next to nothing. We're told Bale pushed his mom out of the way during the altercation. She was not hurt and did not fall down. - more on this story

Manager Says Courtney Raped Me On Nirvana Deal

TMZ reports: Courtney Love's business managers are suing the wacky singer, claiming she screwed them to the tune of around a million bucks.

In a lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, London & Co. claims it was entitled to 5% of the sale of a portion of the Nirvana publishing catalog, which sold for $19,500,000.

Ozzfest Tour To Return: AC/DC Named As Dream Headliner

antiMusic reports: For those that missed this yesterday, here it tis again: What in the hell is up with Ozzfest? First it was the not-so-successful FreeFest fiasco last year and this year it was stripped down to a one-off. The once leading summer metal music festival has fallen from it's greatness but the mastermind behind the festival says that it will return to a full fledged tour next year.

That mastermind is Sharon Osbourne and our friend Metro over at WYSP in Philly snagged an exclusive interview with her on Tuesday morning for the 'Studio 94 With Metro' show. Not only did Sharon drop the bombshell that Ozzfest will return to its former incarnation (hopefully with some good bands) but she also gave some details about the new Osbourne's variety show.

On Ozzfest, Sharon explained the reason why Ozzfest is only a one-off this summer. She also said that AC/DC is her dream act for Ozzfest. As for the Osbournes variety TV show on Fox. Fans can expect to tune in for a Christmas special and she also discussed the format a bit. You can listen to the full interview right - here

Jesus Is a Glamrocker?

Blabbermouth reports: Pete Wilson, the pastor at Cross Point Church in Nashville, Tennessee recently got a call from POISON guitarist C.C. DeVille asking for advice and inviting him to POISON's July 8 concert at the Sommet Center in Nashville.

According to Pete, "C.C. has just become a Christian and was wondering if I would be willing to bring him some messages he could listen to on the road, as well as just encourage him, and answer a few questions."

Pete added, "This guy [C.C.] has an amazing heart. We spent some time with him pre-concert and before he went to get ready to go on stage he said, 'Pete, would you watch the show tonight and tell me if you see me do anything that would not be honoring to God.' Swedish rockers The Windupdeads will release their self-titled debut October 7th, 2008 on One Eleven Records, but would already like to extend a gift to their fans. Buckcherry Album Details And Tour Plans

Atlantic Records reports: Atlantic recording group Buckcherry has announced early details of its fourth album, "BLACK BUTTERFLY." The album, which follows 2006's RIAA platinum-certified blockbuster, "15", arrives in stores at all digital retailers on September 16th.

True road warriors, Buckcherry will follow their current tour with a full-scale co-headline tour alongside Avenged Sevenfold, slated to kick off in mid-September, running through the beginning of October.

"Too Drunk…," a featured track from "Black Butterfly," recently [mysteriously] appeared online at a number of BitTorrent sites. Year Long Disaster For The Foo Fighters

PR reports: Year Long Disaster first selected to take the opening slot on five dates during Foo Fighters Midwest run, have now been added to the remainder of the Foo Fighters U.S. tour that also features special guests, Supergrass.

Cops Taser Hagar Fan

The Day reports: A Vernon man struggled with state police and was ultimately subdued with a Taser Sunday after security guards saw him smoking marijuana at a Sammy Hagar concert at Foxwoods.

Raymond M. Croke, 30, of 32 Ridgewood Drive, was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with an officer, and being a fugitive from justice, based on an outstanding arrest warrant from the state of Washington.

An trooper at Troop E in Montville refused to identify the weapon Croke was allegedly carrying. - more on this story

BW&BK can confirm that Motorhead will headline the 2008 Volcom Tour. The five band package will include openers The Misfits, Airbourne, Valient Thorr and Year Long Disaster.

Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille and Alice In Chains bassist Mike Inez both make guest appearances on Motorhead's new album, Motorizer, which is due in stores August 26th in North America, August 29th in Germany and September 1st in the rest of Europe. - Now go grab the dates!

Bad Rap: Another Hip Hop Murder Conviction

AP reports: A jury found a 37-year-old San Francisco rap music figure guilty in the slaying of a Kansas City rival in what authorities called a West Coast versus Midwest rap war.

Andre "Mac Minister" Dow faces life in prison after being convicted Monday of first-degree murder in the May 2005 killings of 24-year-old Anthony "Fat Tone" Watkins of Kansas City, and Watkins' friend, 22-year-old Jermaine Akins.

Dow is a promoter who has appeared on rap albums, made headlines several years ago when he brawled with another rapper at a nationally televised Source Awards show.

Sex Pistol Denies Racist Beating

BBC reports: John Lydon has denied claims by Kele Okereke from Bloc Party that he was racially abused and attacked by a member of the Sex Pistols' entourage at a music festival in Barcelona.

Okereke claimed he had been attacked by several men after approaching Lydon backstage at the Summercase festival. He said the 'unprovoked' attack left him with a split lip and bruises.

Okereke has described how he was set upon after asking Lydon if he had considered reforming his former band, Public Image Ltd. He said the punk singer became 'intimidating and aggressive', while someone in Lydon's group told him, "your problem is your black attitude". Okereke claims he was then attacked by three members of Lydon's crew who punched him in the face and head. - more on this story

Courtney Love Vs Ryan Adams

idolator reports: Over the weekend, Courtney Love took to her MySpace page for the purposes of calling out fellow blogger Ryan Adams, thanks to some mysterious American Express bills from 2003 that she believes are evidence that some $858,000 that went into the making of his 2003 album Rock N Roll was funded by Frances Bean Cobain's inheritance. (I guess that's why Frances is trying her hand at journalism-type stuff this summer.)

Not only is she appalled by the theft, which was apparently part of the identity-theft issues she's been blogging about and facilitated by her ex-boyfriend/Rock N Roll producer James Barber, she's irritated that her funds were used to make such a crappy, poorly named album: "Ryan Adams worst record and one of the worst records i can think of in rock and roll history ironically called'Riock and Roll '... yeah you listen to this shit im listening to my i tunes on right now who names a record 'Rock n Roll' what assholes do that? ... with these trebled up guitars my bandmate said sounded like 'really horrific rem on steroids' all treble and compresssion and shit wirtten songs - but so what?"

Love's post concluded with a call for Adams to pay back said $858k and let her know how his heroin habit was holding up. The post was picked up by the likes of Gawker over the weekend, and after deleting it she got into a bit of a back-and-forth with the commenters on that site and others who were so quick to defend Adams' music (why??) and write her off as drug-addled, crazy, etc. - it gets funnier

Lil' Scrappy Stabbed and Arrested

NME reports: Lil' Scrappy was arrested on Friday (July 18) after getting into an altercation with his sister's boyfriend.

The rapper, whose real name is Darryl Richardson, was taken to jail in DeKalb County, GA after police responded to a call about a fight in the Stone Mountain area.

Richardson was stabbed during the fight but his condition was listed as stable and he was subsequently released from jail after posting $1,500 bond yesterday (July 20).

Nipplegate Finally Over?

BBC reports: A US appeal court has thrown out a $550,000 (£275,700) fine against CBS for screening Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" during 2004's Super Bowl.

Three judges ruled the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) watchdog "acted arbitrarily and capriciously" in levying the fine.

Some 90 million viewers saw a fleeting glimpse of the singer's breast during a performance at half-time. - more on this story

Ben Folds New Album

PR reports: Ben Folds At PianoEpic Records is proud to announce the release of the much-anticipated new album from Ben Folds, WAY TO NORMAL, on September 30, 2008.

The album, Folds' third as a solo artist since the break up of the Ben Folds Five in 2000, was mostly recorded at his studio in Nashville and produced by Dennis Herring (Elvis Costello, Modest Mouse, The Hives).

James US Reunion Tour

NME reports: James have announced a tour of North America, scheduled to kick off September 15 in Boston, MA.

The band will hit the road to support the release of their first album in seven years, 'Hey Ma', which will come out September 16.

Get Drunk with Dear And The Headlights

PR reports: Dear And The Headlights have set a September 30th release date for sophomore album, titled Drunk Like Bible Times.

Regarding the unique title, bassist Chuckie Duff explained "it just makes us laugh and people are free to read whatever meaning they want into it. It's just a good name for what it is - a party record."

The 12-track set was recorded with producer and friend, Bob Hoag (The Format, Limbeck), at Flying Blanket Recording in their hometown earlier this summer. "Bob has been pretty influential in the overall sound and to some degree the arrangements on this record, like he was on the last record. He kind of becomes the sixth member in the studio and that works well because we trust him and he hears things the same way we do," described guitarist, PJ Waxman. - more on this story

Bleeding Through in September

Adrenaline reports: On September 30, Bleeding Through will unleash their definitive album, Declaration.
