Slaughter Reissued As Metalmind Seeks Fact Checker
antiMusic reports: Before we get to the latest news from Metalmind about a couple of Slaughter reissues, we must state for the readers sake that the label obviously does not have a fact checker. Today you'll see it when they proclaim that the death/thrash metal band Slaughter came after the hairmetal band of the same name. The hairmetal band formed in 1988 after Mark and Dana split the Vinnie Vincent Invasion. This was two years after this other Slaughter released their debut album.

And last week Metalmind tried to tell us that the 13th or 14th repackaging of the Enuff Z'nuff "live in the studio" album was really from a reunion concert in 2007. We didn't bother posting it. The inaccuracies in the bio were even worse and contained more BS then a Motley Crue press release. Sadly, a lot of metal sites did run with the inaccurate story. Hopefully, one day the band will put out one of the far superior board recordings that are floating around as bootlegs and retire this bogus "live album" for good. With all that said, here is what Metalmind had to say about these Slaughter reissues:

Metal Mind Productions presents new digipak edition of two Slaughter's album: "Strappado" - the debut album from 1986 featuring an extremely brutal combination of death and trash metal, spiced with some punk and hardcore influences and "Not Dead Yet/Paranormal" - the compilation album from 2001. New digipak edition is limited to 2000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc. Both titles will be available on 5th May 2008 in Europe and 8th July 2008 in USA (via MVD). - more on this story

Trever Keith To Come Face to Face With Fans
PR reports: Trever Keith (Face to Face frontman) is launching a solo tour today, in support of his new self-released solo debut Melancholics Anonymous. With Melancholics Anonymous, Trever Keith channels the melody & energy that galvanized his previous band, the pioneering SoCal melodic punk outfit face to face, into 11 brand new songs of remarkable depth, maturity and scope.

From the ominous electronic textures of "Incommunicado" to the plaintive acoustic guitar that cradles the title track, Melancholics Anonymous makes a clean & irrevocable break with Trever's musical past. The album fully embraces his long-standing early 80s UK indie-rock & electronica influences, yet retains the signature heavy, modern sound and Keith's unmistakable vocals & epic melodies.

Having recently reunited face to face for a handful of performances, on April 18, Trever Keith takes his solo career on the road with limited edition, signed CDs in tow.

Static Revenger Goes Sci-Fi
PR reports: Check out the awesome SCI-FI inspired video for "Satellite" from Static Revenger presents "Love Song Surprise"

Video pays homage to classic sci-fi films including "2001 - A Space Odyssey," "Tron," "Contact," "Barbarella: Queen of the Galaxy" and "Star Wars"

The video was conceived and directed by Dennis White, who is currently making quite a name for himself in the film business. White recently took a year off from music production to produce and direct two independent documentary films as part of SCION'S "Easy 10 film maker series." One of the films, Castellers, won 'honorable mention' at the Very Short Movie Film Festival in Los Angels, as well as "Best Use of Music in a Documentary" by the Park City Film Music Festival,, which runs concurrent to Sundance. Castellers takes place in the Catalan region of Spain, and documents the centuries-old tradition of competitive human castle building. - Watch the video here
