antiMusic reports: Invitro is the new project
from ex-Snot/Soulfly guitarist Mikey Doling that made quite a name for
themselves on the Family Values tour this summer. Their debut ' When I
Was A Planet' hit stores this month and to celebrate we asked frontman
Jeff Weber to pick his favorite five tracks from the CD and tell us a little
bit about each one. We'll now turn it over to him for today's song "hollyvision":
The key lyric in hollyvision, "I'm the
king of the world", almost didn't exist. We needed something to tie together
the song and everyone was pushing for the king of the world line. Something
about it wasn't there for me, I wasn't sure I liked it. The rest of band
remained adamant and in the end won out. Over time it has grown on me,
and now whenever we play live, I can't wait to get to that line.

antiMusic reports: Is there a new video on
the web showing Jack giving Meg a "Icky Thump"? Is this what made Meg so
anxious that she had to cancel the White Stripes tour? One site speculates
that there is and posted some photos to let the readers be the ultimate
judge.
The postchronicle.com posted a series of
stills from the video saying " it sure does look like Meg but one cannot
be 100% certain. And given the climate of fakes these days, one has to
question the authenticity first. The guy in the sex tape does look a lot
like early photos of Jack back in 1998." Remember the speculation that
they were brother and sister? Icky Thump indeed.
The site further speculates that this new
sex tape might have something to do with Meg's anxiety which caused the
band to cancel their tour plans a couple days before they were set to kick
off. We speculated at the time that less than expected sales might have
had something to do with it. but this puts an interesting spin on it.
No word yet from the White camp at press
time but you can check the postchronicle.com posting and judge for yourself-

antiMusic reports: The bad news is that Richie
Sambora is reportedly back in rehab. The good news is he won't likely be
the only celebrity in group therapy as he's checked into the same facility
as teenybopper star Lindsay Lohan. Maybe she'll talk him into appearing
on her next album? Are maybe they'll ride off into the sober sunset together
on his "steel horse"?
The Bon Jovi guitarist first entered rehab
in June to treat a drinking problem that some fans reported at the time
came to a head during the taping of a performance for MTV Unplugged. He
received the spin dry treatment at the UCLA Medical Center but apparently
the week long treatment wasn't enough. At the time his spokesperson told
People.com "Richie Sambora has completed a program at the UCLA Medical
Center. He is doing well and continues to receive outside support."
Apparently that "overnight" treatment requires
an additional rehab stint at another facility. This time he checked into
Cirque Lodge in Utah, which is the same rehab facility where Lindsay Lohan
is currently receiving treatment. - more

Gigwise reports: Radiohead have revealed the
latest details of their next album through a series of special hieroglyphics.
The band started posting the symbols at
the end of last week and fans have been furiously trying to decipher them
ever since.
The first set of code is said to read,
"Yes We Are Still Alive" in a seeming message to fans after several weeks
of silence from the band. - more

antiMusic reports: Remember a couple weeks
ago when Sharon Osbourne blamed Courtney Love, not her parenting skills,
for turning her son into a drug addict? Courtney heard the allegations
and has some rather strong words for the eggtosser.
Osbourne first accused Love of turning
her son Jack onto Hillbilly Heroin (OxyContin). She said at the time "My
dislike towards her (Love) is very personal. I'm not saying Jack wouldn't
have taken it if she hadn't given it to him, but I'm appalled an adult
mother would give that to a 15-year-old boy."
Never one to hold back on her thoughts,
Love reportedly told the London Eye: "I never did that. I would never give
drugs to a teenager. F*ck you Sharon, as if I would ever give drugs to
a teenager." But her supposed new boyfriend isn't above giving crack to
kittens if- reports

CMJ reports: London-based International Federation
Of Phonographic Industry (IFPI) dealt illegal file-sharing network eDonkey
a major blow on Friday, when court-granted injunctions were ordered to
shut down seven of their servers in Germany.
IFPI, a blanket organization representing
about 1400 record companies across 75 countries, used its German unit to
present the injunctions against the network in Hamburg, Cologne, Düsseldorf,
Leipzig and Frankfurt's courts.
The shut down of the servers effectively
cuts off the network's service to about 1.3 million users worldwide, according
to IFPI spokesman Alex Jacob. This move marks the third time this year
that the organization has taken action against eDonkey.-

KNAC reports: KNAC.COM has received the following
urgent update from former KNAC DJ Tawn Mastrey's sister, Cara: "Tawn is
in the hospital dying. We don't know how long she can hold on, as she is
in desperate need of a liver. We fear that her kidney and heart are also
now having troubles due to her liver failing from Hepatitis C. Major complications
are occurring and if she waits too long, she will be too ill to operate
on. She has been going from nursing home to emergency hospital every few
days now.
Tawn can receive a portion of someones
liver from a living donor. Both donor and Tawn's new 2-1/2 inch liver,
(if it were to be received by living donor), will both grow back to normal
healthy sizes in a matter of weeks.
If anyone out there would like to become
a living hero, this would truly be a huge way of doing it. I myself would
give her a portion of my own liver, but I'm too small in body size. It
would take a man or woman with the same blood type as Tawn's, O-negative,
and also similar body size and weight. Tawn weighs about 119 pounds.-

Lambgoat reports: Following the band's upcoming
fall tour, Norma Jean drummer Daniel Davison will be leaving the band.
Davison has issued this explanation: "After much time, prayer, council,
and consideration, I have come to an important personal decision. My decision
is that as of November 8th, 2007 I will no longer be a part of Norma Jean.
As many of you know, Norma Jean is considered
a 'Christian band,' and it is in fact made up of 5 guys who are all Christians.
This is something that is a huge part of my life, and something that I
take very seriously. Recently I have come to the point in my life where
I no longer see Norma Jean as a ministry, and for me to continue in the
band, saying that it is, would in my opinion, be wrong. I am not leaving
the band on bad terms with any of the guys, but there are differences between
us, both personal and spiritual, that I felt were too great for me continue
on with, or ignore any longer.
We as a band have in some ways worked towards
making things right in the areas where we differed...but for me, the feelings
did not change, and we continued to grow apart. So after giving these things
much time and thought, I have come to the place where I know that it is
right for me to be finished.- more

antiMusic reports: Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy
announced via his official site that the band have decided to postpone
their planned European tour so they can concentrate their energy on a new
studio album they hope to release early next year. As of right now plans
to visit Japan and Australia are still going forward.
Here is the announcement: Live Nation,
X- ray Touring and RATT have decided to postpone the European portion of
their fall tour. All 21 dates across Europe will be moved to a later date
in order to allow the band to stay on schedule to finish the writing for
their new album, which they want to deliver in early 08.
The band also needs the time to honor some
personal commitments. All the members of the RATT organization apologize
to their fans and followers but this rescheduling will also allow the band
to incorporate some of the bigger festivals they have been invited to play
next summer (Monsters of Rock, Donnington and several others.) into their
touring schedule. - stephen-pearcy.com

antiMusic reports: Black Eyed Pea will.i.am
gets pretty candid in a new interview published in the October issue of
Radar. He defends the much maligned "My Humps", talks a bit about the hypocrisy
of Al Gore's Live Earth, "branding" music and of course a little about
his new solo album, Songs about Girls.
Radar's publicist was kind enough to send
over some highlights from the article for you to enjoy, if you want the
full interview you'll have to pick up the October issue. Maybe this will
convince you. will.i.am On Live Earth: "When Al Gore asked me to perform,
I was like, 'Wow, that sounds great, people coming together to stand for
something." But then I was like, 'Wait a second, it's sort of hypocritical
to throw a concert. Everyone there is going to be drinking water out of
plastic bottles.' It can't be the consumer that changes the world, it has
to be governments that make laws for corporations and demand they produce
alternatives. We won't stop buying things, so give us something else to
f*cking buy!"
On turning Black Eyed Peas into a "global
brand": "People don't mind doing a song that goes on the radio right after
a commercial. That money comes from Jergens and Coke. If your song gets
huge, soon you're playing the Staples Center, which is branded, too. So
brands help bands from the beginning. I was like, 'Dude, I've always liked
Dr Pepper, and they're going to let me play my music.' So f*ck it."-
