Gigwise reports: Led Zeppelin frontman Robert
Plant is trying to convince the rest of his bandmates to play a special
show at Belfast's Ulster Hall, according to reports.
It's understood that Plant wants the band
to play the show in Belfast when the Ulster Hall re-opens in November 2008.
The venue was where the group first played
their smash hit, 'Stairway To Heaven,' in 1971, at a concert held for the
late Jim Aiken.- more

antiMusic reports: You think Johnny Rotten
would let all of this reunion fever pass by without getting involved? While
it's not as groundbreaking as Van Halen, The Police of Led Zeppelin since
the Pistols seem to reunite every few years, a version of the band have
set up a concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of their
album Never Mind the Bollocks.
According to the BBC, original members
John Lydon, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock will play at the Brixton
Academy in London on 8 November. Tickets go on sale Friday and will set
you back £37.50.
In an interesting aside, NME is trying
to convince fans to buy the reissue of God Save the Queen in hopes they
can make it number one in the UK since it failed to hit the mark when it
originally released. BBC has a little more on this- story

antiMusic reports: Nielsen SoundScan PR rep
forwarded this story. Seems that Kanye not only kicked Fiddy ass this past
week, he also had the biggest album opener in two years. Thank God this
whole thing is over. Here is the Billboard story: Kanye West's "Graduation"
(Def Jam) easily leads the star-studded class of Sept. 11 releases, posting
The Billboard 200's largest sales total in more than two years. Nielsen
SoundScan will show West's album moved 957,000 during its first six days
when the tracking service refreshes its charts tomorrow morning (Sept.
19).
Also pumping album volume are 50 Cent's
"Curtis" (G-Unit/Interscope), which will lock down the No. 2 slot with
691,000 sold. Kenny Chesney's "Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates" (BNA/Sony
BMG Nashville) will bow at No. 3 with 387,000 copies.
The total for West's "Graduation" is the
largest by any album since 50 Cent's "The Massacre" opened with 1.1 million
copies in March 2005. West's own August 2005 album, "Late Registration,"
was the last album to surpass 800,000 copies when it began with 860,000.
(an interesting aside from SoundScan: YTD
Digital Track sales through September 16th have surpassed the Year End
Digital Track sales total for 2006. YTD 2007 is 582.2 million while 2006
was 581.9 for the entire year) Read more of the Billboard article-

PR reports: After ten years as the lead singer
and songwriter for iconic Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace, Raine Maida's
first solo album arrives in stores November 13th. A collection of 10 commanding
songs that are poignant and lyrical, delivered in a style reminiscent of
the 60's beat poets with hip hop influenced beats of today, The Hunter's
Lullaby is a unique album that stands out in today's musical landscape.
Developed over the last year during the
late evening hours in his private studio, the album delivers a deeply personal
picture of the man as an artist in the 21st century. Recorded using purely
acoustic instruments, Raine gathered many of the musician's closest to
him to help shape the record. His talented wife Chantal Kreviazuk plays
piano and lends her unique vocals to several of the albums tracks. Victor
Indrizzo (Beck, Gnarls Barkley) started the drum sessions with Raine back
in the summer of 2006. Joseph Karnes (John Cale, My Brightest Diamond)
contributed the stand up bass while Randy Cooke (Dave Stewart) laid down
the majority of the drums and percussion.- more

Gigwise reports: Nine Inch Nails frontman
Trent Reznor has urged fans of his band to steal his music in protest at
high prices for his records.
At a show in Sydney on Sunday night he
told the crowd: "Last time I was here, I was doing a lot of complaining
about the ridiculous prices of CDs and that story got picked up and carried
all around the world.
"Now my record label all around the world
hates me because I yelled at them. I called them out for being greedy.
Has anyone seen the price come down? OK, well, you know what that means:
steal it. Steal away. Steal and steal and steal some more and give it to
all your friends and keep on stealing. - more

PR reports: Norwegian melodic thrashers Susperia
have announced details of a one off show in Norway. The band will play
at John Dee in Oslo on 2nd October 2007. The show sees the return to live
action of the bands drummer Tjodalv, who broke his ankle earlier this year,
forcing him to miss the bands European and UK tours with WASP and Onslaught.
Now fully recovered, Tjodalv is eager to
get back into live action saying "It's been a frustrating time having to
take things easy and wait for the natural recovery process to do it's thing.
When the accident happened it was like my whole world had collapsed. It
was a real disappointment to miss out on the tour with WASP and watch from
the outside. But now I'm fully recovered, I feel stronger and I'm ready
to make up for lost time"- more

antiMusic reports: We used to joke that these
two should get together but it appears that Satan has a sense of humor
if these rumors are to be believed. We'll let Contact Music tell you about
it: "Rocker Courtney Love is reportedly dating Kate Moss' rocker ex Pete
Doherty.
"The couple was spotted kissing and cuddling
over lunch in a Wiltshire, England pub. It is believed the former Hole
frontwoman was visiting the Babyshambles singer during his spell in rehab."
Our favorite part of the story is this
quote from Courtney "Rocket Scientist" Love: "He's committed, he's very
loyal, he's a Scorpio. We had really good chemistry. " Wonder what kind
of chemistry that might be? Of the pharmaceutical variety perhaps? Read
