All That Remains DVD Finally Coming Out
PR reports: For road warriors ALL THAT REMAINS, how difficult could it be to film and release their first-ever live concert DVD? As it turns out EXTREMELY difficult: The band ran into an incredulous amount of obstacles delaying the release of the DVD not once or twice, but three times. Never ones to bow under the weight of hardship, ALL THAT REMAINS persevered, and the DVD is at last scheduled for a real street date of October 30. Live audio from the DVD will be available on digital service providers as of November 6.

"We are wicked pumped to be able to offer our fans a feature-packed DVD," ALL THAT REMAINS frontman Phil Labonte commented. "Thanks to all the ATR fans everywhere who have waited patiently for this. It's a long time coming, and we feel like it's full of good stuff and worth the wait!"

Originally set for a summer release, the DVD was supposed to consist of the All That Remains' show at Philadelphia's The Theater Of The Living Arts, filmed in early spring. All seem to go well with the shoot, until the production company discovered that portions of audio in several songs had not been recorded (strike one). This necessitated another shoot to correct the faulty audio. The next filming took place at Baltimore's The Recher Theater in July. This time the audio recording was successful, but unfortunately that didn't mean all was well and on schedule. - more on this story

Coheed and Cambria Vs Alzheimer's
PR reports: Coheed and Cambria have organized a benefit show in New York City for Alzheimer's Disease on October 19, 2007 at the Highline Ballroom, as part of the CMJ Music Marathon. The band has joined forces with the New York Chapter of The Alzheimer's Association (www.alznyc.org) for what's billed as "A concert to help end Alzheimer's." Coheed will perform a full set with some surprises at this rare club appearance. All proceeds from the concert will go to the organization, and donations will be requested online.

On October 23rd, Coheed and Cambria will release its new album, "NO WORLD FOR TOMORROW." The album is dedicated to the memory of Antonia Cristiano, vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez' aunt, whose life was claimed last year by Alzheimer's. Cristiano -- a psychologist who counseled the group early in their career and literally kept Coheed and Cambria from breaking up in 2002 -- was the inspiration for "Justice in Murder," a key song on the new record.

About the benefit, Sanchez said: ""This benefit is sort of my way of saying goodbye. My Aunt Toni lived in Manhattan and loved Manhattan. This disease ravaged her and our family. It's hard for me to talk about, but if we can help fight this disease and encourage others to help fight it, then her loss wasn't totally in vain."- more on this story

F5 Go Soph
PR reports: Arizona-based metal band F5 have recently entered the studio to record the follow-up to their 2005 debut, "A Drug For All Seasons." The currently-untitled sophomore effort is being recorded at Crush Recording Studio in Scottsdale, AZ, with production by owner Ryan Greene.

"This looks to be a very musically invigorating record," says bassist David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth). "No doubt there will be hints of F5's past sound on the disc, but these new songs are definitely developing a much more progressive sound for the band."

Due to the departure of original drummer Dave Small, Jimmy DeGrasso of Ministry has been enlisted for the session's drumming.

Having just inked a worldwide record deal with OarFin Distribution, F5's new disc is slated for a spring 2008 release. More details on the album's development can be found at - www.f5theband.com

Innerpartysystem Go with Stolen Transmission
PR reports: Innerpartysystem is one of the newest signings to NYC label Stolen Transmission (The Oohlas, The Horrors, The Photo Atlas, etc). Stolen Transmission is re-releasing the band's debut entitled The Download EP (10/2/07), which features two additional previously unreleased tracks, "Don't Stop" and "Lovers Dancing Remix".

Innerpartysystem has been quickly gaining notoriety, a fact that is evident through the presence of "Heart of Fire" on the MTV VMA's playlist, and the band has also licensed its music for 2 EA video games. The song "Don't Stop" will appear in FIFA, and "Heart of Fire" in Burnout.

Innerpartysystem is composed of four guys who were reared in the bleak small towns that surround Reading, Pennsylvania. The weathered houses, rusted factories and sprawling farms make this the landscape of true America. These environments are stark, urban and mechanical, and they are pregnant with dark and anxious hope – sentiments that Patrick Nissley, Innerpartysystem's main songwriter, carries in his writing. Nissley captures this blue collar and proletariat aggression of small town America, no doubt a product of his past singing in hardcore punk bands, but he synthesizes this with influences from electronica music. Other band members Kris Barman (keyboards, guitar, programming), Jared Piccone (drums, beats, programming) and Jesse Cronan (keyboards, programming) follow cue and add textures, electronics, keyboard lines and traditional rock instrumentation to each song. It's this intermingling of styles and instruments gives Innerpartysystem a distinctive vision, as its songs incorporate throbbing electronic beats that nod towards Autechre or Squarepusher but also the melodic aggression that's not far from that you'd find in Nine Inch Nails or Nirvana.- more on this story

New Random Touch Coming
PR reports: Last year's pioneering effort from American experimental ensemble Random Touch, aptly titled Alchemy, was a journey inward to that place where the music controls the artist. Now Random Touch has gone further than they've gone before with the release of A True Conductor Wears A Man - a comprehensive study in improvisational composition and arrangement. Once again, the music controls the conductor.

On October 21, 2007 their eighth work, A True Conductor Wears a Man , will be released. A journey through beauty, tension and darkness awaits the listener. Some may consider the 54 minutes CD even more wild and untamed than its predecessors. Listen as Scott Hamill, James Day and Christopher Brown converge once again to explore and flesh out the unfamiliar.

"We start off listening closely to each other and ourselves, and on our best pieces this is a stepping stone to a state where we can no longer distinguish what is our own and what is another's. The aggregate music becomes a unified, monolithic thing, and it becomes entirely unclear whether we are hammering upon it, surfing atop it, or are simply at one with it. For myself this last step often morphs into a state where the music itself becomes secondary to a dream-like emotional drama, replete with visuals behind my lidded eyes. The joy of this experience is second only to sex. " Christopher Brown, drummer- more on this story

Become a Believer Again
PR reports: Metal Mind Productions announce remastered versions of Believer's three albums: "Extraction From Mortality", "Sanity Obscure" and "Dimensions". Believer's re-releases will be available on 5th November 2007 in a new digipak edition, limited to numerated 2000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden discs.

In the entire history of the thrash metal genre, there was never a band as unique as Believer. While their music showcased thrash influences from the rawest sort, delivering fast and violent sounds, the message they incorporated into their songs was the exact opposite of the typical thrash metal attitude. Through their music Believer preached the word of God - each lyric is a testimony of faith and commitment to the Christian community. The band made sure that their message was properly introduced by supporting it with a heavy dose of brilliantly arranged melodies and thrashing riffs.- more on this story
