Music Awards in Las Vegas when US authorities revoked her visa, Billboard

PR reports: "EXILE ON MAINSTREAM," the much-anticipated
new album from Melisma/Atlantic recording group MATCHBOX TWENTY, has debuted
at #3 on the Billboard 200, while also premiering at #1 on SoundScan's
Current Alternative Albums chart.
With 131,000 sold, this marks the biggest
first week of the year for a greatest hits collection. The #3 premiere
also matches the group's previous highest Billboard 200 debut, 2000's "MAD
SEASON." MATCHBOX TWENTY is also seeing tremendous success in Australia,
where the album debuted in the #1 spot.
A look back and a look ahead, "EXILE ON
MAINSTREAM", the first album from the group in five years, combines a six-track
EP of new songs, produced by Grammy winner Steve Lillywhite, with a retrospective
of the band's greatest hits culled from their previous three albums, which
were produced by Matt Serletic. The album's first single, "How Far We've
Come," is the #1 Most Played Video this week on VH1.-

PR reports: On Election Day, November 6, 2007,
the New York City-based Atomic Brother will release the follow-up to the
band's 2004 release Elected, with their latest album, See Me Comin'.
See Me Comin' is Atomic Brother's first
full-length album and is a collection of 12 original songs. While mainly
a hard-rock album, listeners are often surprised at the wide range of styles
found on See Me Comin'. After the heavy riffs in "Not My Fault" and the
title track "See Me Comin'," it's refreshing to find that the band is also
capable of playing punk rock tunes like "Employee of the Month," and even
slower ballads such as "Home in the Sky" and the Spanish-feeling "Never
Home." With See Me Comin', Atomic Brother decided to focus more on writing
good music and less on a particular genre. According to bassist Gnolfo,
they were "tired of hearing bands both live and on CD that sound the same
from start to finish," so they decided to focus more on writing good music
and less on keeping it within a particular genre. "If it sounds good and
we both like it," stated guitarist/vocalist Melillo, "we'll use it. Period.
A good song is a
good song." In his review of See Me Comin',
Robert Pally of Swissrecords.ch certifies that, "Atomic Brother can certainly
write powerful songs," and according to Jon Worley of Aiding and Abetting,
"these boys do rock."- more

PR reports: On October 30, indie label Ropeadope
will release 'The Harlem Experiment,' the third installment in their city
"experiment" series. The "experiment" albums are jazz-inspired collaborations
by well-known local musicians who set out to capture the sound and spirit
of their hometowns.
The first two in the series focus on Philadelphia
(music provided by ?uestlove Ahmir Thompson, Christian McBride, and Uri
Cane) and Detroit (featuring Regina Carter, Marcus Belgrave, Bennie Maupin
and others). So why Harlem? According to label president Andy Blackman
Hurwitz: "The history, the present and the future. We look to Harlem as
ground zero for all that is modern day 'American' music - whether you call
it jazz, R&B, hip-hop or rock, all of it passed through the neighborhood's
gates."
'The Harlem Experiment' takes on the melting
pot identity of Harlem, from the early Jewish enclaves to the epicenter
of African-American culture to the Latin legacy of Spanish Harlem titans
like Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri.- more

PR reports: Finger Eleven's fourth album on
Wind-up Records THEM VS. YOU VS. ME has delivered the band's second crossover
hit with "Paralyzer." The song achieved the number one position on the
Alternative, Active and Mainstream Rock charts. Subsequently, "Paralyzer"
has crossed over to CHR, where it stands at 22 this week, and is a hit
at HAC, where it continues to move towards the top ten at 16 with a bullet.
In a market where ringtone and ringback
tone success is heavily owned by the urban worlds of rap and hip-hop, the
song is an example of where the mobile and on-line space can help propel
the rock genre. An early indicator of the enormity of the song's popularity
came via Verizon Wireless shortly after the company entered into a distribution
deal with Wind-up Records. - more

PR reports: SNMNMNM's fourth album marks a
milestone for a band who has always tried to create smart pop music that
rocks. In 1997, tuba player Mark and songwriter Seamus were frustrated
with unsuccessful attempts to start a band at music school - it seemed
impossible. But, with the addition of Matt on drums and guitarist Matt,
SNMNMNM (the name meaning Seamus n' Mark n' Matt n' Matt) was complete.
How does a band with a tuba and such a
ridiculous name make it this far? Never being a "buzz" band, SNMNMNM has
built a cult following one fan at time converting even the most die-hard
skeptics. The misconceptions about SNMNMNM are few, such as the notion
that Mark's amplified tuba is the band's "gimmick." Yes, it's hard to miss
a big shiny brass object when it's put in front of you, but it works!
The first single from SNMNMNM's upcoming
fourth album Crawl Inside Your Head, "Addy Will Know" is in fact a tribute
to the librarians of America and even contains something special just for
them -- in the song's bridge vocalist Seamus Kenney recites the reference
numbers of several books without noting their actual titles and authors!

PR reports: Due to strong demand from fans,
including an online petition, Warner Bros. Records will release Transformers
- The Score - a CD of the instrumental music from this summer's blockbuster
live-action robot adventure film "TRANSFORMERS."
None of the film's orchestral music, composed
by Steve Jablonsky who has also composed music for the hit TV series Desperate
Housewives, as well as the films The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Amityville
Horror, was included on the official album soundtrack to the film, which
was made up of hit songs from Linkin Park, Goo Goo Dolls, Smashing Pumpkins,
The Used, HIM and Taking Back Sunday, among others. As a result, fans clamored
to hear the orchestral score and an online petition received thousands
of signatures.
Transformers - The Score will be available
in stores and through all online retailers on October 9th.-

This is easily one of my favorite
albums of the year, and it has every possibility of being one of my favorites
of the last 10 years. Amazingly written, incredibly musical, and evidently
passionate, this is an album not to be missed. (5 stars)

Liars are one noisy bunch, and
I'm not fibbing. This new CD is comprised of loud, cacophonies studio experimentation.
It sometimes reminds me of Throbbing Gristlemeets-The Jesus and Mary Chain.
Other times, it's nearly indescribable. (3 stars)
