Aguilera
Lip Synching? |
Contact Music reports: CHRISTINA AGUILERA
has disappointed US fans by reportedly lip-syncing at a gig on Friday night
(23MAR07). The BEAUTIFUL star encountered undisclosed technical problems
at the concert in Madison Square Garden, New York City, prompting the audience
to speculate the star was miming during the entire set. Aguilera's manager
IRVING AZOFF has admitted there was a sound-related problem at the concert.
He tells the New York Daily News, "Miss Aguilera is one of the most talented
vocalists to ever grace the stage; however, we did have a technical problem
with the sound equipment at the Garden." [see full story for more]-

G-Unit
Deny Kid Beating |
E! reports: Rappers may not be the most kid-friendly
artists in the music world, but one member of G-Unit is denying accusations
that he picked on someone half his age.
Emcee Tony Yayo pleaded not guilty Sunday
to misdemeanor charges of harassment and endangering the welfare of a child,
just one day after his arrest in New York for allegedly beating up a 14-year-old
boy.
While the New York Police Department has
not released the boy's identity—as is typical protocol for incidents involving
minors—the alleged teenage victim is believed to be James Rosemond, the
son of G-Unit rival the Game's manager, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond. [there

Jacko's
Wacko Robot |
Launch reports: Michael Jackson is in discussions
about creating a 50-foot robotic replica of himself to roam the Las Vegas
desert, according to reports.
The pop legend is currently understood
to be living in the city, as he considers making a comeback after 2004's
turbulent child sex case.
It has now been claimed that his plans
include an elaborate show in Vegas, which would feature the giant Jacko
striding around the desert, firing laser beams. [This is probably BS, but
you never know with Jacko, but was just too funny not to post – see full
story for more including quotes from Jacko's Magic Alex]

Distiller |
punkbands reports: Details of Distillers frontwoman
Brody Dalle's new band has emerged. Spinnerette will consist of Dalle,
The Distillers member Tony Bevilacqua, and Alain Johannes, who has worked
with the likes of PJ Harvey and Eagles Of Death Metal.
Speaking about the reasons for recording
her new songs with a new band, and not The Distillers, Dalle told NME:
"The songs seemed out of context and inappropriate for The Distillers.
I felt ambivalent about sharing them with anyone."
Spinnerette are set to record their debut
album in Los Angeles. No release date has yet been announced[see full story

Leave Island |
punkbands reports: New Jersey emo scene leaders
Thursday have parted ways with label Island. The band sent out this message:
"After four years and two albums, we have decided to mutually part ways
with Island Records. It was a difficult decision and it took us the better
part of six months to come to an agreement with the label but now that
we have both of us are very happy with how things have turned out. Everyone
at IDJ has treated the band with respect and we are leaving on good terms
with all our friendships still intact. We will be completing all of the
touring that we have booked for the rest of the year. Then we plan to start
writing for a new record. We have not decided where this new record will
be released yet.[see full story for more]- Click

Adam
Leaves Phil Lewis (LA) Guns |
Sleazeroxx.com reports: The Phil Lewis version
of LA Guns announced on their Myspace page: Dear friends it is with enormous
regret we announce the departure of our good friend Adam Hamilton. Adam
has been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to pursue his dreams
as a producer. From this point on he will become a full time studio rat
chained to a recording console but I suspect he will still wear a bit of
eyeliner. Adam we wish you well mate, you have stuck with us through very
good and a few extraordinary bad times, you will always be a brother and
we all thank you for the amazing music you have contributed, Thank you
for your commitment to the band and the fans, its been nothing but pleasure
touring the world with you, Your sharp sense of humor that got us thru
some very sketchy times will be missed. You can show off all those backstage
laminates with pride in your studio and know that you are the very essence
of rock and roll and a lifetime behind a mixing board will never take that
away from you.[see full story for more]- Click
