Lambgoat reports: Guitarist/vocalist James
Malone regretfully explains why Arsis had to drop off the Summer Slaughter
Tour while supporting their latest release, "United In Regret:"
"Due to circumstances beyond our control,
we've been forced to drop off the Summer Slaughter Tour. I do apologize
to ALL the fans that missed seeing us. To make a long story short, everything
was going great for us until we reached Sacramento, California. After that
show, our van began to give us trouble - which surprised us since the van
had just been in for repairs twice before the tour even started and we
were sure the problem had been fixed. So we took the van in to the nearest
dealership, were told the problem could be resolved in 3 days, and decided
to wait in Sacramento until the van was fixed. It's now over 2 WEEKS LATER
and the van STILL hasn't been repaired.- more

Lambgoat reports: A stretch of recent robberies,
from the Shurgard Storage Center (now Public Storage) located at 933 North
Illinois Street in downtown Indianapolis, have left numerous Indianapolis
based bands in shambles. Tens of thousands of dollars worth of music equipment
is missing with little, to no assistance being offered by the facility
or the Indianapolis Police Department.
Around 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 27th,
members of local bands Demiricous and The Dream Is Dead arrived at Public
Storage for an evening of band practice. Upon arriving, they discovered
their storage unit, located on the third floor of the facility, empty and
ransacked. Local based bands Demiricous, The Dream is Dead, Two-Bit Terribles,
Whiskeytits, and Black Arrows of Filth & Impurity, among others, occupy
rental storage units at the downtown location. Bands that have been affected
by this string of robberies, have endured losses of an estimated $25,000.00
worth of musical equipment.- more

downloads after iTunes. The site has been the subject of several lawsuits
from UK and US record labels that claimed it violated copyright law, reports
BBC News.
The site's owners MediaServices maintained
the site was legal under Russian law, and has subsequently set up a new

PR reports: Oakland, California-based Hiero
Imperium Records announces Bay Area rapper Knobody as the first artist
signing to its new Triple i League. The Hiero Imperium Triple i League
is Hiero's version of a Major League Baseball farm team. With the goal
of providing a kickstart for fresh talent, the seasoned vets at Hiero are
bringing their A&R and business expertise to the table and scouting
the best undiscovered talent in the Bay and beyond.
In an industry where it's common to see
undiscovered talent get signed under a major label artist's label only
to get trapped in a financially parasitic situation, Hiero CEO Tajai Massey
makes it clear that this program is nothing like the typical industry contracts
that exploit up-and-coming artists. Instead, the program is about taking
artists who already have a complete package and mentoring them on the business
side of the industry so that they can be capable of controlling their own
careers and become the CEOs of tomorrow. "Hiero isn't looking to help polish
lyrics or build from the ground up. Triple i League contenders must already
be complete artists who are ready to move on to the next level," remarks
Tajai.- more

PR reports: Check Out The New EVERY TIME I
DIE Track "Imitation Is The Best Form Of Battery" Exclusively On MYSPACE.COM
--- This Sweet Track Is From Every Time
I Die's Forthcoming Ferret Music Release
Titled "The Big Dirty" In Stores
September 4th!!!
Though slotted as the final song on Every
Time I Die's impending classic the big dirty, there is no track as indicative
of the entire record as "Imitation Is The Sincerest Form Of Battery".
Lyrically based on Federico Fellini's "8
1/2", this song has everything that the band has become notorious for wrapped
into one two-minute and thirty second keg stand of ass-kicking f*** all.
From the scathing self-indictment of the lyrics, through the involuntary
tweak-out inducing riffs, all the way to the no permanent bass playerness
of the band itself, "Imitation Is The Sincerest Form Of Battery" is what
Every Time I Die does best- not give a s*** about what you expect from
them. If there was a middle finger that had a sharp point at the end and
was about 6 feet in height, this song would take that finger like a flagpole,
tie a flag to the end of it that had another middle finger on it (but smaller,
obviously and not necessarily the same middle finger) and stick it in the
uncharted terrain of brazen self awareness- a paradise which countless
other bands have tried to recreate on stage, but failed at miserably. now
get off our land.

out the song

PR reports: Although you’re more likely to
see Gillis strip down to his skivvies at a Girl Talk show, half a million
people saw Gillis exposed in June’s “Man of The Year” issue of Playgirl
Magazine. When discussing what he likes to do in his free time, Gillis
says, “I enjoy swimming, playing basketball, lighting off fireworks, snacking
it out, and bro’n down.” About the issue, Gillis says, “I didn't know it
was out, and a friend actually spotted it in a women's restroom at this
pretty dive-y bar in Pittsburgh. She didn’t know I was in it, she was just
browsing. Pretty funny situation.”
What some might find even funnier is the
fact that Gillis ate hot dogs with Newsweek journalist Steven Levy and
Congressman Mike Doyle shortly after the Playgirl piece hit stands. Levy
and Congressman Doyle flew to Pittsburgh to meet Gillis at local hot dog
joint Franktuary to discuss Doyle’s recent statements supporting Girl Talk’s
sample based music on the floor of Congress. - more

PR reports: Christ On Parade Reunites For
Two Shows At 924 Gilman in Berkeley
July 27, 2007 at 7pm with: Final Conflict
(Long Beach), Look Back And Laugh, Bumbklaatt (Mexico), Acts Of Sedition
July 28, 2007 at 7pm with: Attitude Adjustment
(Reunion), Eldopa, Reagan Ss (Los Angeles), La Piovra (Italy)
"I saw Christ on Parade in San Jose opening
for Social Distortion, and it was one of the best live sets I've ever seen
anywhere. There was this anxiety and tension that went through everybody
in the crowd waiting for their first noise, and when it came the whole
place blew out front to back. The original lineup had caustic personality
that when it was going good, things were on the edge of oblivion. When
the mixture was off, things got ugly; there was a chaotic energy that followed
them everywhere. Christ on Parade were a product of a time when all was
wrong with life, and the only thing worth doing was sacrificing your body
for your mind in hopes of a moment of grace. Unfortunately grace came along
too late to save the band, but the music stands alone." -Scott Kelly (Neurosis)

Contact Music reports: Fox commentator John
Gibson has accused NBC of giving Al Gore an "outright gift of unequal time"
by airing next week's Live Earth concerts. Organizers of the concerts have
partnered with Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection to help "raise awareness
of climate change." In a commentary Gibson asks whether NBC's telecast
doesn't "constitute a political contribution of free airtime? Do the people
who want the return of the Fairness Doctrine think NBC should be forced
to give equal time to me and let me argue against Al Gore? I don't think
so." [Since Gore isn't running "yet" the equal time doesn't apply, besides
no one watches NBC. But with the arrest of Gore's son on DUI and drug possession
charges will Fox be giving that and the PR for Global Warming Concert equal
time this week?] - more
