4th by lighting off illegal fireworks. So we won't have a report on Wednesday
but we'll see you on Thursday!
DiR reports: Silverstein's new CD ' Arrivals

" World's Apart," here is Shane!
" This is one of the songs that came to
me super quickly. I was actually on vacation in Hawaii and just got the
verse riff in my head. I figured it out and then the parts just came to
me. It was really crazy. I think it's the fastest I have ever written a
song."

group and grab their latest tour dates at the following link. And don't
forget to pick up a copy of "Arrivals and Departures"! in stores today.

antiMusic reports: Melodic Rock is reporting
that Van Halen are going ahead with their planned reunion tour with David
Lee Roth. The band now consisting of David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Alex
Van Halen and Eddie's son Wolfgang Van Halen have reportedly gotten together
and are "penciling in" dates and venues for what Melodic Rock says will
be a US tour starting in September. No official word has come out yet.
In February, after much hype and tentative
announcements the planned Van Halen reunion tour was called off. The band
then cancelled plans to perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction
ceremony.
What happened? In March Eddie Van Halen
entered rehab for a month long stay to be treated for alcohol-related problems.

Launch reports: Timbaland has reportedly said
that he is ready to quit the music industry and name a successor.
The superproducer, who has masterminded
hits by Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado and released a solo album earlier
this year, said in a recent interview that he is "about to throw in the
towel" because he is bored with the current state of affairs in the music
industry.
"Music is boring right now. I'm too innovative
for the world," he told Gigwise.

Idolator.com reports: Today's TRL had at No.
7 My Chemical Romance's "Teenagers". But as is the case with much of the
music that sees actual airtime on MTV, the song was pockmarked with bleeps.
While some of the x-ed-out words were to be expected, tallying up which
words were and weren't blocked by MTV's standards and practices department
led to some odd results:
BLEEPED:
murder
s***
"your shirt"
pay
NOT BLEEPED:
bleed
violent
Now, it's understandable--sort of!--why
"your shirt" and "pay" were bleeped; the verse in question is about whipping
out a concealed weapon as revenge for high school kids' cruelty. But if
you're going to get rid of those words and not also ding words that actually
conjure up violent imagery, what's the point?- more
