Jacko
Sued for Murder |
hecklerspray.com reports: There's a very strong
chance that Michael Jackson thought the worst was over - he'd been cleared
of fiddling with boys, he'd been cleared of making giraffes wallow in their
own blood and he'd even stopped running around dressed as a woman all the
time. Neverland's for sale, there's a new Michael Jackson album in the
pipeline and everyone now thinks of Jermaine Jackson as the lovely calm
one from Celebrity Big Brother instead of the man who tried to sell a book
about how Michael Jackson likes to touch boys on the winky. Everything
was looking rosy for Michael Jackson again.
But the feeling didn't last for long, because
Michael Jackson is now being sued by the family of a woman that Michael
Jackson apparently helped to kill. Back during his molestation trial, Michael
Jackson held proceedings up because he was suffering from a flu-like condition
and he was taken to the Marian Medical Centre in Santa Maria for treatment.
But when he was there, the family of Manuela Ruiz allege that their sick
mother - who had suffered a heart attack earlier that day - had her life
support switched of and was bumped out of her trauma room so that Michael
Jackson could be looked at. [see full story for more]-

Killer Charged |
Blabbermouth reports: According to The Atlanta
Journal-Constitution, a Fulton County grand jury indicted Michael Scott
Axley (photo from Korn.Simpol.net), 25, of Douglasville, Georgia on felony
murder and aggravated assault charges for allegedly punching and killing
a man at a KORN concert in July after they got into an argument over a
hat.
According to witnesses, Axley punched Andy
Richardson, 30, after the two exchanged words and Axley took Richardson's
cap during a KORN concert at Hi-Fi Buys Ampitheater last July.
Richardson fell unconscious onto a concrete
sidewalk and Axley allegedly punched Richardson again. Richardson suffered
skull fractures and severe head injuries. He died two days later at Grady
Memorial Hospital. [see full story for more metal news]-

"The children and the wife, my client Tomi

be buried in a decent place but it's going to be kept confidential," said
attorney Robert Rosen.

Van
Halen Tour Officially Kaput |
Rolling Stone reports: [We never heard back
from the VH publicist but Rolling Stone confirmed the reunion is off with
the tour promoters, here is their report] It looks like David Lee Roth’s
first tour with Van Halen in twenty-three years won’t happen, after all.
Over the weekend, employees of tour promoters Live Nation were informed
that “the Van Halen tour has been shut down.” It’s not yet clear what went
wrong: Just last week, the band released their first official photo of
their new line-up to Rolling Stone. At the time, Roth told us that he was
thrilled about the tour, and that the reunion could be permanent [see full

Purdue
Ignores RIAA |
idolator.com reports: The AP reports that
the Recording Industry Association of America is focusing its gaze on music
swappers at colleges, where fat pipes allow illegally downloaded songs
to travel even faster:
Purdue, which has received 1,068 complaints
so far this year but only 37 in 2006, said it rarely even notifies students
accused by the RIAA because it's too much trouble to track down alleged
offenders. Purdue said its students aren't repeat offenders.
"In a sense, the (complaint) letter is
asking us to pursue an investigation and as the service provider we don't
see that as our role," spokesman Steve Tally said. "We are a leading technology
school with thousands and thousands of curious and talented technology
students." [see full story for more]- Click

the summer’s biggest heavy metal festival. All second stage acts will play

Metallica
To Begin Recording |
SMN reports: METALLICA will begin recording
its new album with producer Rick Rubin on March 12, according to a recent
post on its Web site. The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2003’s “St. Anger”
has been in pre-production for several months.
“We really have to feel secure about the
music and know it’s good,” Rubin told Billboard in December about the process.
“Then in the studio, we’re free to only worry about performance and not
worry about writing a song. Hopefully, we’ve done our homework.”
Meanwhile, METALLICA has lined up seven
summer shows in Europe as part of its semi-annual Sick of the Studio tour
