Blabbermouth reports: AUDIOSLAVE/ex-RAGE AGAINST
THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello spoke to MTV.com about RAGE's decision
to reunite for the eighth annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
in Indio, California, on April 29. According to Morello, RAGE will be taking
the stage with a singular mission in mind.
"To deliver a knockout blow to the Bush
administration," Morello explained in his first interview since RAGE's
reunion announcement January 22. "And hopefully, one night in the desert
is all it will take. . ." [Who knew political rap-metal was all you needed

Launch reports: Pete Doherty has been approached
to star in a reality TV show about rock stars fighting drug addiction,
according to reports.
The Babyshambles star, who is the focus
of tawdry new narcotic allegations in the U.K. press this morning, has
apparently been approached by the makers of Big Brother.
Working under the provisional title of
Rock Stars In Rehab, the program is said to be in the pipeline from U.K.

Reuters reports: With her new Blue Note album,
"Not Too Late," poised to debut next week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200,
Norah Jones has announced the dates for her spring North American tour.
The outing begins April 13 in Wallingford,
Conn., and will wrap May 12 in Montreal. Jones also will play April 28

Chicks, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland scored a leading three
nominations each for the 2007 CMT Music Awards, to be held April 16 at
Nashville's Curb Event Center.
Voting began Thursday (February 1) on CMT.com;
eight nominees in each category will be whittled to four by February 28.[see

reveal that Rhino Records has set a March 13 release date for VAN HALEN's
"Best Of (1978-1984)", the first single-disc compilation exclusively spotlighting

with VAN HALEN's March 2007 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,
contains over an hour of remastered classics from the albums "Van Halen",
"Van Halen II", "Women And Children First", "Fair Warning", "Diver Down",

ORIGIN have been rejoined by drummer John Longstreth. The group will embark
on a European tour with NECROPHAGIST and MISERY INDEX beginning on February
8 in Trier, Germany. Credited with having created some of the most challenging
and devastating death metal in its three-album career, ORIGIN was a late
