DEVILS ISLAND announced earlier today the tragic passing of their guitarist
Ivan Martynovich, 21, who was killed in a car accident on Saturday evening.

of Devils Island’s founding members, Ivan Martynovich, died in a car crash
saturday night. He was 21. Over these years, Ivan managed to do more crazy
s*** than most guys will ever think about. He was crazy, but he harbored
wisdom, charm, the biggest heart and the biggest pair of balls Ukraine

Breakfast
with Joan Osborne |
PR reports: Time Life is pleased to announce
the release of a newly recorded Joan Osborne studio album, due in stores
on May 22nd. Titled Breakfast In Bed, the forthcoming album is best described
as an homage to the great Soul and R&B songs of the late ‘60s and early
‘70s. It will contain a mixture of her powerful interpretations of classic
songs as well as new originals written by Ms. Osborne in a style and sound
faithful to the classics. The singer/songwriter, whose hit single “(What
If God Was) One Of Us” propelled her album, Relish, to the top of the charts
in 1995 and went on to sell 5 million copies worldwide and garner 6 Grammy
nominations, has enjoyed exploring different musical genres throughout
her career. She has performed as a member of the Grateful Dead, toured
with the Dixie Chicks and The Funk Brothers, is working on a children’s
album and has recently put out a country record. On Breakfast in Bed, Ms.
Osborne has the opportunity to truly showcase her particular affinity for
soulful R&B music.- Click

Zappa
vets Guest on Brian Buckley's Debut |
PR reports: Breaking boundaries and creating
new musical standards drive Brian Buckley as a songwriter and performer.
Born and bred in California, he has spent his life making music and tailoring
his craft. His powerful and moving debut studio record, For Her - set for
release on April 17, 2007 on Chris Allison’s label Sonic360 - manages to
project the in-the-moment vibe of his live performance, as well as his
myriad of influences and experiences. Never one to force the process, his
muse comes naturally and is uninhibited.
Some choice hands help articulate the musical
moments, including Zappa alumni Vinnie Colaiuta on drums and five-tour
Zappa vet Arthur Barrow (bass, piano, organ), who also produced and engineered
the record. Alan La Police and Erik Leckrone sweeten the musical pot with
their percussive antics while Adam Watkins works the keys. Buckley’s lead
guitarist, Mike McGraw, especially shines, matching Buckley’s vocals (and
acoustic playing) in tone, expressive range, and emotional impact. Scott
Gordon’s mastering work (Alanis Morrisette and Ringo Starr) polishes off
this dynamic debut. [see full story for more including info on the CD release

Wilson Protege Set To Release Debut Album |
PR reports: Taylor Mills, the sultry back-up
singer for Brian Wilson, is set to enter the spotlight with her own, debut
solo album, Lullagoodbye, on May 22, 2007 through Austin indie label, Aqua
Pulse Records. Produced by Todd Sucherman (Styx) and Scott Bennett (Brian
Wilson), this debut features guest appearances by Brian Wilson, as well

For the past few years, Mills has traveled
with Brian Wilson, recorded on his Grammy-winning epic SMiLE project and
performed with him at venues that have ranged from Buckingham Palace and
the Glastonbury Festival, to the Berlin stage for Live Aid 2. As the lone
