Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized from one of the tour buses that are part of Justin Bieber's current tour by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials on Sunday. Bieber was not on the bus. The Bieber tour bus was crossing the U.S. / Canadian border when a drug sniffing dog "alerted" border patrol agents to the possible presence of drugs on the bus and agents then conducted the search, finding the marijuana and paraphernalia, according to a statement Chief Customs and Border Protection Officer Ken Hammond made to E! News. Hammond told the publication, "On July 28, a commercial touring bus attempted to enter the U.S. through Detroit via the Ambassador Bridge." "The tour bus, associated with... Justin Bieber, was en route to a concert scheduled later Sunday night in Detroit. During the secondary inspection, a K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs and a subsequent search of the bus revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Justin Bieber was not on the bus. "Officers seized the marijuana and paraphernalia and issued a penalty to the driver. The bus and passengers were released without further incident," Hammond concluded. (Radio.com) Miley Cyrus fans will get an up close and personal look at the making of the pop star's upcoming new album and radical image makeover in a revealing new MTV documentary, which will debut this fall. The hour-long doc will be produced by MTV's News and Docs team, and comes as interest in the pop star is at an all-time high. Cyrus' most recent single, "We Can't Stop," is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and recently broke VEVO's record as the clip to reach 100 million views the fastest. The racy Diane Martel-produced video generated almost 11 million views in just the first 24 hours of release, topping the previous record-holder for most views in one day, Justin Bieber. "It's just gonna sound like her and her influences, but it's not that hip-hop heavy," Pharrell told MTV when asked what fans can expect from the full-length album, due later this year. "That's not what she does, that's not where she comes from. It's a part of what she loves, which is a very big difference. I would expect that there would be elements of the things that she's into, but nothing rules her." As if those 100 million views of her "We Can't Stop" video weren't enough, Cyrus has just released an extended director's cut of the clip. The updated version comes with additional performance footage added to the controversial music video, which has generated much conversation for its sexually-charged imagery and lyrics that celebrate illicit drug use. Check it out here.

(Radio.com) As was the case with the first six movies, John Williams will once again compose the score for the forthcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, directed by J.J. Abrams."I've loved doing the Star Wars films with all the fanfares and flourish," says Williams in a video posted to the official Star Wars website. The 'galaxy far, far away' I feel like I'm still in it." John Williams' involvement in the film marks the latest in a series of throwbacks to the original series. Original trilogy stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are also expected to appear on screen for the film's 2015 release. Other than that, precious little is known about Episode VII. Even Williams is willfully unaware. "Of course, I haven't seen the script," the composer says in the video interview. "The story is still unknown to me, the new story. But I can't imagine that there will not be some references to the existing stories that we know that would necessitate, and make appropriate, the use of some of the earlier themes." more on this story

(Radio.com) This past weekend in Foxboro, Mass., Taylor Swift joined a very exclusive club. It's the small club of people who (allegedly) know whom Carly Simon's song "You're So Vain" is actually, truly about. And no, she's not telling. The occasion came about when Swift invited Simon to sing her iconic 1972 hit song on stage with her during the Red Tour's stop in at Gillette Stadium on Saturday (July 27). It was an experience Swift called "unreal." Swift was thrilled to get a chance to perform classic song alongside its creator. "I think tonight is one of the most special nights on the tour," she said in a video interview shot backstage at the July 27th show. Swift tweeted, "Got to sing 'You're So Vain' with Carly Simon at Gillette Stadium tonight!!!!! Unreal. I could not possibly look up to her more." Swift also had high praise for the song itself. "That is the most direct way that anyone has ever addressed a breakup," she said. "It's amazing." And Swift, of course, knows a thing or two about such matters, being a songwriter herself who's made a career out of "direct" songs that touch on, among other things, relationships and breakups. Check out the video interview here.

(Radio.com) Best friends Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt of Icona Pop just released the video for "Girlfriend." Originally slated to be their follow-up single to "I Love It," the track embodies the familiar catchy choruses and dance ready beats the girls are known for. While previous single, the pop-tastic "All Night" which dropped last week, follows the sing-along anthem that "I Love It" paved the way for, "Girlfriend" has a slightly more electronic vibe. "All I need in this life of sin is me and my girlfriend," Jawo and Hjelt sing on "Girlfriend." Meanwhile, the video showcases the duo living this "life of sin" as they speed down the highway in a convertible, run onto railroad tracks and sneak into train cars — something you'd only do with your best friend. In an interview with HungerTV, the girls talk about their time train-surfing in the new video. "We love trying new stuff and as soon as things get a little bit too safe or calm we just throw ourselves out there and mix it up a little bit, and we always manage to get out alive," Hjelt said. Jawo confessed that the filming of the video was dangerous. "The train was moving but we had a lot of safety nets, even though I would have done it without them," Jawo said. "We had stunt men teaching us who were taking it really seriously and were like 'Don't jump if you don't have the safety nets on you!', which was good." Watch the video for "Girlfriend" here.

(Radio.com) This weekend, New Kids on the Block will wrap up The Package Tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men, a nostalgia-fueled "love fest" in the words of NKOTB's Jordan Knight. With the summer tour coming to a close, Radio.com sat down with Knight, who, among other things, recalled the very first time he heard himself on the radio. He was 16, in his native Boston. "I was in my living room, [in] the house I grew up in. The song was 'Be My Girl' and it came on an AM station," he said. "There's something about your song being on the radio. It just makes it real. It makes it legit. I was like, 'That's a legit song!'" Knight said it's a very different feeling hearing the song on the radio vs. in the studio. "When you hear it over and over in the studio or on your cassette player, it just sounds like a studio tape," Knight said. "But then when you hear it on the radio you're like, 'We can be famous!' It made me really excited." And famous NKOTB got. Their first single, "Be My Girl" was released in 1986 and served as the lead track off their debut album New Kids on the Block. They would go on to record three No. 1 hits and amass a legion of fans who continue to follow the band 25+ years later. more.
