Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and an American Airlines employee caused a security problem at JFK airport in New York City on Tuesday after the employee let the celebrity couple skip a security screening.West and Kardashian were making a connecting flight to Los Angeles from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and an employee let the pregnant reality TV star and her rapper boyfriend bypass a TSA security screening in an effort to get them on their connecting flight quickly. Once they were on the LA bound flight, a TSA agent pulled them off the plane and subjected them to a private screening, which reportedly was one of the reasons that caused the flight to be delayed by almost an hour, according to TMZ. The TSA told the gossip site, "An airline employee escorted the two travelers through a non-public area in order to provide expedited access to their domestic flight." "In doing so, the airline employee violated security protocols by permitting the travelers to by-pass the TSA security checkpoint. TSA officials learned of the violation and conducted a private screening of the two passengers in the area of the jetway." "The passengers were cleared to board their flight, which departed after a delay of approximately 50 minutes. TSA is actively investigating the incident." more on this story

(Radio.com) Like an underground version of Psy's "Gangnam Style," the new viral phenomenon of "Harlem Shake" videos have exploded across the internet. Originally a minor urban dance craze in the early 1980s, New York rappers like Cam'ron brought it back to prominence in the early 2000s.The dance has re-entered the public consciousness thanks to emerging New York dance music producer Baauer, whose 2012 song "Harlem Shake" has set off an endless stream of videos featuring people doing the dance in a variety of situations (it recently scared TV news anchor Anderson Cooper when his staff broke out into the move during a staff meeting), with Baauer scheduled for a high-profile performance at this year's Coachella festival. Originally found on the BBC Essential Mix from Glasgow producer Rustie, Baauer's bass-heavy track was given a proper release on Mad Decent, the record label run by GRAMMY-nominated DJ/producer Diplo. With the viral videos getting more and more outlandish, leave it to Matt & Kim to create one of the biggest (and pretty much the best) "Harlem Shake" clip yet, utilizing a packed auditorium of fans to join in the fun when the beat drops. more on this story

(Radio.com) Scottish singer/songwriter Emeli Sande stopped by the Fresh 102.7 studios last week to chat with Jim & Kim about her debut album, "Our Version of Events," how she started her career and the effect singing competition shows are having on the music industry. When Adele's career took off at the end of 2009 with her hit "Rolling In The Deep," Emeli who's real name is also Adele, decided to go with her middle name, Emeli as her stage name, in order to form her own identity in the industry. Despite the name conflict, Adele admires Sande and is a fan of her music. "It's amazing. Even before I released anything in the UK, she'd seen me on a show we have over there called 'Jools Holland' and she tweeted about it. To have that support from someone so huge was really encouraging," she said. The singer can sympathize with the love-hate relationship people have with music competition shows, but overall these programs are beneficial for both artists looking for their big break. There's less development in the music industry now than ever before. And if people need to find exposure these programs are great. The people that I've worked with are so passionate about music and I would never think less of them as an artist at all. I've been really pleased with the work I've done with these shows," she said. more on this story

I come upstairs and there's a spider on the wall, so then I hear that scream again, but it was not a spider. Today Louise Latham helps us celebrate Valentine's Day by telling us about her latest single "Saint" which comes from her debut album "Reclaimed". Here is the story: I wrote Saint in a moment of high emotion. I was in love with someone of a different faith and for all my attempts to understand and accept his beliefs, it was still not enough for him to embrace our love fully. Saint is a song about a moment of realization where the love that you have given is not enough to bridge a division of identities. The song I think has a universal theme, we are none of us perfect, and whatever we strive for within our relationships with others and ourselves we seem to have to accept the fact that identity is a strong force equal to that of love. On my debut album Reclaimed, Saint is the opening track and has a haunting cello line, which accompanies the piano, to introduce the song. I recorded the song in the south of Holland with a series of wonderful session musicians and my sister Suzanne Latham on vocal harmonies. My sister's soulful harmonies give the song a tenderness and melancholia. A friend of mine once described the song as being similar to Fado, the portugese music genre, because of the characteristic sentiment of resignation and a feeling of loss. The production on the album really reflects the emotions I felt writing the song beautifully. I hope Saint resonates with people. I think most people can relate to the feeling of having given everything, to then finally understand that there is a time when we have to protect ourselves as we are only human, with our limits and 'not a Saint'. Although this is true, the song is also a celebration of the love that has been given. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and watch the video here and learn more about the album right here!

(Radio.com) Folk-rock five-piece The Lumineers hail from the richly-cultured, mountainous urban landscape of Denver, Colorado, but their music is pure '30s-style dustpan alley, shoe-shuffling Americana fused with catchy, modern alt-rock melodies.Their style transcends just their sound. At their pre-Grammy performance for AMP Radio and Radio.com at the Grammy Museum, the Best New Grammy-nominated group donned their quintessential retro-rags. Cellist Neyla Pekarek wore toile tights, cocoa brown oxfords and a vintage-looking locket around her neck. Multifaceted frontman, Wesley Schulz, wore a fedora and a charming rough-and-rugged aura that melted the tension from them coming on an hour late. The culprit of their tardiness was a broken cello. Schulz called out United Airlines for breaking their cello and thanked the band's crew and staff for getting a cello to them so quickly before the band played a five-song set of favorites like "Flowers In Your Hair," "Ho Hey," "Classy Girl," "Stubborn Love," and "Flapper Girl," which was an audience request. "How is she playing," he asked Pekarek about her borrowed cello. "She's alright," replied Pekarek in her sweet, shy voice. More including photos
